cococamello Hi, I have a question for you since you're a Posh Ambassador and seem to have a good amount of experience on here. I'm not here very long but I sold a good amount of items including a Chloe bag for well over $500 which was authenticated. So I recently purchased a Loewe bag and I was told it does NOT need to be authenticated because the seller has extensive history with authentic sales. Her closet indicates 3 sales over $500 and she's on Posh 3 years. That makes her a guarantee authentic seller?

cococamello I asked that question to Posh and I've yet to receive an answer. Usually their answers make little to no sense but I'm kind of concerned that they feel it's ok not to authenticate a bag I spent $1100 on. They mentioned requesting a virtual authentication which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I know places do that but I think it's unacceptable. No body can authenticate with out the item in their hands especially not a super fake. What do you think? I appreciate any advice.

pattikake59 @cococamello hi! I hope you are doing well. I don't personally have a lot of experience with getting items authenticated and I'm not 100% sure what Posh's policy is on that. I'm guessing that because she has had a few sales that have been successful (and the buyers didn't complain that she was selling fakes) that Posh is going with an innocent until proven guilty stance.

pattikake59 @cococamello I have seen cases on some of my seller pages of cases that have been opened for fake items but those cases have gone both ways.

pattikake59 @cococamello Posh is very strict about not selling fake items and if someone is found to be doing that, they can have their account deleted. I'm not sure if any of this is helpful but I guess my two cents is, if they don't have a ton of sales and the item isn't authenticated, I personally would probably avoid. Good luck to you!

cococamello @pattikake59 thank you for responding. The bag is on its way. She has a lot of listings ( not in the thousands) and she’s a Posh Ambassador ( whatever that really means). She showed the receipt of the item. Posh is supposed to authenticate any item over $500 and it says free authentication on her listing. So I will hold Posh responsible if it at anytime its deemed inauthentic. I spoke with the seller often and she seems like an “ authentic” person so I hope the bag is too😊

pattikake59 @james_winfree hi James, USPS shows it was delivered on Oct 4th at/in your mailbox at 4:48pm, but if you did not receive it, you have to go to your purchased tab, find the item, and open a case..I have absolutely no control at this point, you must contact Poshmark.
