You did everything you could have :) They are so beautiful though, I may try using a jewelry barrier on the posts because I do love them THAT much! This allergy keeps me from wearing so many beautiful earrings. I just wanted you to know, in case the question comes up in the future. Even most stainless steels contain SOME nickel, and unfortunately for me, I am SUPER sensitive to it. Thank you for everything. I will still be back to your closet :)

classyhippie75 @sister2sisterd Thank you, and so are you! I have tried clear polish, but it does not seem to work for me. They do sell a clear jewelry barrier that I can try. It is not expensive. I will do that before I give up on them! I will let you know how that works.

goldshadow I need a bit of help here. Been buying from Poshmark for awhile but just started trying to sell. Living in a nightmare of stress. Don't understand why have to take pics through app or cropped to nothing & color is way off. There's no way I can keep up with 'following' all who do me each day. Don't understand the 'share' thing. Can't find info on site that explains. Am I nuts or too old, 77, to be doing this? Any help would be appreciated.

goldshadow My hope is that this can be 'fun' & that I can find new friends of varying interests & too, of course, I need to find homes to accommodate my overly active shopping habit. classyhippie75 @goldshadow Hi! I LOVE the shopping part more than anything, too! I am a thrift shopping addict! Finding great deals is like a drug to me!  You are not alone and I think a lot of people feel overwhelmed at first. As for photos, I understand the frustration. Because photos have to be square when you add them to your listing, the best way (in my opinion) is to change your phone’s camera settings to 1:1.

classyhippie75 @goldshadow That way you will get square photos when you take them and will not have to crop later. As for lighting, I run into that problem ALL the time! Of course, the best lighting for photos is natural daylight, but I work full time and do not get any daylight for taking photos outdoors.

classyhippie75 @goldshadow A lot of people actually purchase lighting kits (from Amazon or elsewhere). These kits will give the look of outdoor lighting while taking pictures inside. They run around $60 and up. I have not invested in lighting yet myself, but plan to soon.

classyhippie75 @goldshadow TIPS: 1. Share each item from your closet daily (or twice or more…whatever you want). If you have a lot of listings and it’s too hard to share every item, share what you can. Every little bit helps. 2. Share an item from someone else’s closet if they share an item from yours. 3. Try to follow those who have followed you-set some time aside each day to do this and do not try to do it all day long….to overwhelming!

classyhippie75 @goldshadow 4. Follow new people….they will (most of the time) follow you back and see your closet! Try to list new items every day. I try to list three new items each day. If you cannot list new items, “edit” your listing, “update,” then relist. It will show up as a new listing when you do this.

goldshadow I used to love SF but the last time I was there I was disappointed. Very. They need to get rid of the people who are running that state into the ground. Glad I don't live there anymore. Did for about 25 yrs.. & really did enjoy it back then. Left in 1983 or 84 when it started getting bad. Now it's just plain NUTS. You don't live there, do you? lol

goldshadow Oh... still have the patchouli, incense, & tons of great music. Big Brother & the Holding Company with Janis Joplin has always been .......... beyond good. Used to sit & listen to them, just breathe the air & get stoned at the Filmore or at private parties. Wow. Sad that some got into things stronger than pot. Including Janis. She loved her Southern Comfort laced with heroin. That scared me but she wouldn't listen. She didn't care. Sad.

goldshadow I've been all over this country from one side to the other, & up & down but somehow, I never got to Wisconsin. I'd think, from what I've heard about it, that it'd be a wonderful place to live. I was born & raised in the Pacific Northwest so that's where I'm spending my last years. I'm in Oregon, suburb of Crazy Portland. If it gets any crazier I may reconsider moving to Idaho or some state nearby.
