One side of the round bead has a hinge and the other side has the notch to open it.

@saphfire2144 If you look on the bead there is a place to put your thumbnail in to open it. It's on the opposite side of the hinge.

The ball shaped bead is the opening.

The round bead opens up so you can add more charms.

@bpeggy9 👋 I just saw this. I'm glad you got the bead opened. It's the only bracelet I've ever seen with that type of clasp.
