peggy1658 @cinderella927 Yes, I'm ok with being featured. I had spinal surgery last July and it's taking a long time to heal. had to go to the dr yesterday for a check up. I got a cortisone shot in my back. Seems to be helping a little. Happy I am able to walk without a lot of pain. Thank you for checking with me. 💕

peggy1658 @cinderella927 Yeah, I have bone on bone in my right knee too!!! Got the three shots. Today it's so cold and rainy here. Can barely bend my knee. Next thing is to get a cortisone shot. Aging is not easy. I had spinal stenosis that's why I had to have the spinal surgery. I couldn't walk. Very glad I can walk now, if my knee would just cooperate.

peggy1658 @cinderella927 doctor said sometimes it takes weeks for cortisone to work. Did you have the gel injections, too? I had those then a month later had the cortisone. I wear a knee brace for support. Doing everything I can not to have knee surgery. There's also two new procedures one using stem cells the other using platelets. But they are costly and insurance doesn't pay. He said one injection with platelets costs $1000. He said these injections are showing promise. They help regrow cartilage.

cinderella927 @peggy1658 My doctor has said the same thing, my insurance covers the gel shots but you know how that goes. They are not in any hurry to approve the medication!! I wear a knee brace for support as well. I don't think I could get by without the brace.

peggy1658 @cinderella927 Me either. Last July I had spinal surgery to correct stenosis. I was worried about my knee acting up so I had the gel/cortisone a month before so I could walk. It worked very well. Surgery was successful but I have scoliosis in my upper spine and my dr said he doesn't recommend anymore surgery. Trying Pt next month to see if that can help with the pain. I never thought aging could be this difficult.

I sorely miss my buddy, partner best friend, ⛳️ partner, kayak buddy, 🍳 breakfast lunch & dinner guest, father of our 3 daughters, gin buddy, 🍿 movie partner, driver to the casino, someone who made me laugh, fabulous grandfather (taught all to ice skate) and gave the best back and foot rubs!!! I'm in a suburb of Chicago. We've had such hot weather here. I was telling my dr. when I was a kid, the dog days were late July and August. now it starts in june.

oceanside12345 @peggy1658 Hi!You’ve got this! Remember to breath thru your nose, GENTLY blow out your mouth as you are attempting to blow out birthday candles, you really want them to keep burning. Also keep thinking good thoughts and take your mind to a place that brings you the most joy, maybe you remember getting your first bike because you always wanted a red bike and you were so joyful. Or birth of your child and how happy you were.

peggy1658 @oceanside12345 i have meds to take. hopefully, i will fall asleep. i booked the appointment with the tech who did my last one. he talked to me thru the headphones to keep me calm. a friend is taking me because i can't drive with these meds. thank you for your messages and kindness. just want an answer so my dr can fix it. 💕🙏🤞

peggy1658 @oceanside12345 I had the the mri today. the meds and the wonderful tech mark got me thru it. when my friend got me home i crashed. had the best sleep i've had in a long time. just checked into poshmark now. going back to bed. tomorrow i call my dr for an appt. thank you for all your positive thoughts an energy. 💕😘
