Ciao! I'm Pia. I worked in fashion for many years as a buyer and boutique owner. I left a good career because I was disgusted by the industry. Don't be offended - I'm a low-ball bidder because the rag trade has warped your perception of value & I've seen the truth from the inside. But also I currently live in New Zealand as a Covid refugee immigrant of sorts & I don't like the fashion here it's frumpy! I had one pair of boots shipped here and it cost $88 so my valuation also has a really high extra shipping fee! It's not 'New With Tags' if you're reposhing it! And yes, maybe once you bought a thing for some hundreds of dollars but if that was many seasons or years ago - it has significantly depreciated & was priced at least 2x it's value, even on sale! If you've truly never worn it & it doesn't fit you, let it go, move on, don't be precious about it, it's literally worth nothing to you if you can't wear it but emotional anguish you're not a size you wish you were! I'm a huge believer in recycle consumption and love this app for that. I love good community and I've tracked down favorite things I wore to death years ago and am so happy about replacing them. A low offer is not offensive, we just have different value measurements, decline and move on or just reply with your lowest acceptable offer, no big deal. Love & gratitude to y'all! ✨💓🙏🏾😘
