vkillingstad fyi according to internet definition that I found when looking up parts of a shoe, the label says leather upper and according to the definition the upper is "Upper: The entire part of the shoe that covers the foot." I do not believe the claim that I misrepresented is true. The upper is the entire part of the shoe above the sole. The label states the materials.

bethelee Even if this was true, the boot is is no way suede which is what you said in your comments of its page. That part felt like a misrepresentation.

vkillingstad @bethelee suede is "Suede (pronounced /sweɪd/ (SWAYD)) is a type of leather with a fuzzy, napped finish". It says leather on the label, suede is a form of leather.
