My post office is having issues. They said it should be scanned today

It seems that the package returned to Tempe, Arizona. When I activated the tracking number, it told me the package was supposed to arrive to my address on Monday 15 (yesterday). When I tracked it again it says it is at the Tempe post office. An explanation would be appreciated
