Hi! I'm Lisa. I think clothes are in my blood! My family had a chain of Fabric stores called Golden State Fabrics in San Diego Ca. I grew up cruising the isles of fabric running my hands thru it all, learning about fabrics, their usefulness & what is good quality⭐️ My dad was a fashion photographer & my mom was very stylish & dressed great. I’ve always had great clothes, like a treasure chest🌟 I was introduced to sewing while I lived in Tahiti on a boat at age 17. We had no power so I took old clothes apart for patterns & began making clothes ALL BY HAND. I was obsessed. I created things like button down pants with button holes & French seams by hand! I’ll never forget when I got my first sewing machine years later it was truly mind blowing for me. I was literally born creating things be it sewing, crafts, clay, weaving, crocheting, painting, drawing, print making & anything artsy. My grandmother was a seamstress for 20th Century Fox & I can remember the movie set costumes she sewed & their designs. Sequins, buttons, snaps & hooks & eyes! Full skirts & truly fitted clothes. Some of my favorite brands today are Title 9, Free People, Johnny Was, Sacred Threads, Taos footwear Sephora & Hugo Boss for men. I can repair almost anything❤️ I have recently become addicted to Spell the Gypsy Collective clothes. Thanks for stopping by! closetonclouds @quesart123 you can use any box or packaging it does not have to be priority mail packaging although it is free and you can pick it up and take home. I usually have a variety of envelopes and boxes that I take home from P Office. The label must be completely visible. Don’t feel embarrassed everything that happens to you has happened to someone else AND it make you a better posher it’s how we learn. From our own mistakes👍

findthegem I love your story! What a wonderful experience and education to get as a child. As a teenager I worked at a Ben Franklin store in the fabric department. I loved seeing all the patterns and fabrics and seeing what all the customers were making. I have a friend in CA who’s father worked on the movie set and build things for props, like the old Vincent Price Dracula movies, So Cool! Can’t wait to check out your close, follow and share.
