cmogi Hi - I purchased your Capezio shoes a few days ago. My daughter’s musical is in just three weeks - could you please, please, please mail the shoes tomorrow because I am really running out of time if they don’t end up being a good fit for her. stylishaf @rea_pparel I’m hoping I have what it takes to get accepted to that program. In my last semester of nursing school right now and my clinical rotation is in ICU. Any advise for me?

rea_pparel @stylishaf icu is where you will really hone in on your skills in terms of invasive cardiac monitoring, etc. That’s where I started work directly out of college, albeit midnights, on the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with a hunger for knowledge and experience. I think it’s important to have passion and bring something unique to the profession.

rea_pparel @stylishaf For me, it was a research based perspective and pretty good grades. I volunteered as a research assistant at U of M Ann Arbor during school. I shadowed CRNAS - I was determined. I was accepted with only 3 months of ICU under my belt. Completed ~ a year of work in ICU and started anesthesia school. Never worked as a tech- it can be done!

rea_pparel @stylishaf there’s something to be said about clinical experience and the insight and wisdom that comes with it in time. Im not saying you need to practice as an RN for many years but, enough to get a good handle on your abilities-- confidence when Running a code, how to make acute decisions fast- how to interpret things like cardiac output, CVP, etc and control those things medically and pharmacologically. It takes maturity not only knowledge. It’s intense.
