73honeybees @getzitgurl OMG, trial and error was how I learned (and still learning) about posting. I use an IPad to take pictures and post. I use a couple of apps for editing - Photoshop Mix to crop or completely erase background and Live Collage for adding text, fixing blemishes color lighting etc, and making picture collages.

73honeybees @getzitgurl Lighting was always an issue for me. I tried outside pics with natural light and inside pics only at night to reduce ambient lighting and many variations but could never get the colors right or reduce shadows. I finally purchased a photo lighting kit for about $120 -definitely an investment- with 2 umbrellas, 2 lightboxes and different color backgrounds. So practice is what helps but I definitely need to improve my picture staging and use of props.
