No wonder I was able to buy mediums....they were baggy on me now, but both tops were great back when I had boobs...but since I lost my curves/boobs and got incredibly lean after my kids (I am not complaining, but 😢 I do miss my curves) But anyway, I am so sorry! Next time I should list measurements! You’ll be able to re-sell no problem, but I have no issue if you want to send them back—how do I get you a refund???

londons_laundry Hi Rachel! I have a daughter, London and she will be 4 in February. I’m a single mother by choice after many disappointing relationships. Decided at 40 to try and it took 4+ years of IVF to conceive. London is a blessing. My Mr. Right is out there somewhere. Started dating again in June.

nelliegs_closet @londons_laundry omg I did a total faux paux and asked you about a probably difficult subject! OMG, I will send you some prayers, you can do it!!!! I thought I was peri-menopausal starting last year, and progesterone was low, so when I missed my period on 12/21/18 I for sure thought it was the start of “the change” that my doc says starts way way earlier than we think. But Nope, I was straight up preggo with Teddy!!!!!!

But I decided to go for it! So so so glad I did! I was 41 when he was born, but the first two trimesters were amazing!

nelliegs_closet The Hormones were INCREDIBLE! It was like being on some kind of energy drug. I looked and felt five years younger at least! I didn’t feel my age until about week 28 or 29, and then the third trimester was really hard.

nelliegs_closet @londons_laundry....but also, I am single and so was working every other week 24/7 call shifts for 7 days straight, and then when home, was full time single parenting my two girls, age 6 and 9. So it might have just been that I overdid it. My SI joint separated and I was on crutches the final three weeks and it hurt like hell. But I probably overdid it, in every way: work, exercise, lifting more than I should.

nelliegs_closet @londons_laundry and having all the genetic testing done at 10 weeks was so reassuring. HIs only issue was that he had one umbilical artery instead of 2, so there were some risks associated with that, that fortunately he didn’t have that I was able to know about right away because I had the genetic testing already, and then the week 22 and 28 ultrasounds with the high risk OB doc were totally fine in terms of cardiac or renal issues that are associated with the one umbilical cord.

nelliegs_closet @londons_laundry ....so then his only risks were IUGR (intra-uterine growth restriction) and pre-term labor or low birthweight. But gosh almighty, Teddy is such a little fighter and I ate as much as humanly possible and rested as much as I could when I was able to, took really good care of myself 3rd trimester as well as I could, and he and I beat the odds and he was born at 38 weeks and 6.5 pounds! Little but healthy!

nelliegs_closet @londons_laundry ...I did have to have a c-section because he didn’t tolerate labor (had never had c-section before, the first few days were rough but honestly, after two weeks, I healed way faster than any of my vaginal births) and he had to go to NICU for 10 days for some fluid on the lungs, but when he left the NICU he was healthy! Tiny, and with a stridor (the breath sounds baby’s make when they have croup) but healthy!

nelliegs_closet I have so much admiration and respect for you, being a single mom is so so so hard! My ex has the girls 50% of the time and is an awesome father. There is no way in H—l I would have made it through teddy’s birth and the first three months post partum without him taking the girls for extra time, and without my sister and brother in law helping me and finding me a village of helpers!

nelliegs_closet @londons_laundry I need tons of help and have two part time nannies that I cannot afford that help so I can get sleep here and there, and help when the girls are with me, and then he just started at an awesome day-care last week and he goes three days a week so I can go to my day job from 8-5 pm those days. And then when I go away on-call once a month for five days, Teddy and one of the nannies goes with me!

nelliegs_closet @londons_laundry so it takes a whole village of help for me to do this, but it’s all worth it—even the credit card debt I have had to go into to pay for the extra childcare and the coinsurance and out of pocket med bills that insurance didn’t cover. Still worth it! I wouldn’t change a thing! And good luck finding mr. right, maybe he is out there....but way better than Mr. Right is finding the Right nannies!

londons_laundry @nelliegs_closet I am so happy everything turned out well for you all. I was put on bed rest at 34 weeks from elevated BP and delivered via c-section at 38 weeks. I did yoga 3X per week and acupuncture weekly until that point. I too felt my healthiest pregnant. I’m trying to save another 20K for my next IVF baby. My daughter is extremely social and has been asking about a brother or sister.
