graceandwalls @rcjent I think many of us are struggling with it, yes! It’s exhausting keeping up with so much STUFF. I have a passion for vintage clothing rescue (lol) because I’d rather keep us from making more landfills out of fast fashion (ugh!) but it’s a battle. I think buying intentionally is a wise start, young whippersnapper! Did I understand you’re starting grad school? That’s awesome! What in?

graceandwalls @rcjent girl that is so cool! I am a fellow Geek. 😘 If there were 3 of me, one would go back for more Masters simply for the joy of higher education! BTW, one of my college bffs studied library sciences; she has a fab career & travels a lot. Yours sounds like a wise plan. And absolutely, vintage brings history to life 😀. I'm still trying to find the best way to find vintage items that fit properly, since the sizing is different.

graceandwalls @rcjent so, I know there are Youtube vidz & blogs on this but basically, always check for fabric type - stretch is a bonus. Lining is fabulous (no need for a slip). I imagine bending over when I measure length, and sitting down...

graceandwalls @rcjent Most of all, I love myself as I go and refuse to get crabby when the things I wished would fit me don’t necessarily fit me rite now: another thing is body types are different rite? What fits one badass chica great will fit me — not great lol- and so on. And also, I’m sure you know - people used to be MUCH SMALLER - shorter and lighter. I think you’re doing the rite stuff. Being a conscious consumer. :)

graceandwalls @rcjent finally, I’d say find someone whose body type you think is close to yours, and whose style you admire. Look at what they wear & try to practice shopping from a similar vibe & see how you do! Worst case scenario? We learn & try again, rite? xox Rebecca
