I totally understand if you want to cancell this order now of when you receive it. I pride myself in next day shipping, ill never depend on any place but a post office now. Hiya. I get the impression you collect and possibly repair vintage lingerie so wanted to ask you something about vintage lace. I imagine you've come across vintage lace that at one time was meant to stretch and now is just sort of sticky? Do you know what I mean? Any idea how to fix such a thing or make it not sticky basically? Hope you don't mind my asking, figured you had some good tips. :) Thanks!

@rosesredroses you got me thinking about this 🤔. I can’t think of why stretchy lace would be sticky unless it was exposed to something that really deteriorated the rubber/elastic. Photo?

@nylonrescue Thanks for the reply. I don't think it will show up in a pic necessarily, as it's black. I always kinda thought it was the elastic threads in the lace (or however it's manufactured to be stretchy) that just degraded over time and got basically how rubber bands do when exposed to heat or as they age.

@nylonrescue Exposure to a solvent makes sense too. Some fabrics and trims just seem to get sticky and get all gooey crumbly everywhere and it drives me nuts lol. I've seen this in stretchy sheer too (Warner's I think, as well as some vintage VS).
