Hello people,The vast majority of my listings will be watches. A lot of watches. I collect them as well as resell them. I take pride in what I do & the items I list.,and the variety I offer. I only sell working watches that get plenty of TLC which,if needed,includes breaking them down for a thorough cleaning,wet-sanding,and polishing,virtually every watch will get new a new Sony or Energizer battery (or batteries in some cases). I also replace the glass/crystal in many of these as well. Thanks

right_on_time @houston_jem No,it was worded in a way to tell you that if you continued to list it as a 3-hand,(which it is not),it could be misconstrued as being less valuable than a 6-hand,which is absolutely true. Why would you continue to list it as something less valuable than what it actually is?

I actually have more, both listed & not yet listed but I have stopped listing any more here as the 20% commission & the $7+ shipping for buyers just kills too many deals before they're made, especially in this general price range.

80z28 Yes sir love the old school paint job and the wheels. I myself collect watches and sell as well. I have a chick right now filed a complaint because I polished the watch and removed most of the engraving on the back of a Swiss Army watch you can still see some of the serial number but she claims it fake so it’s under investigation. I don’t sell fake, any how you have some nice watches. My interest are old Swiss Army and Von Dutch and anything unique and low budget

ghillie27822 Hi Preston! I have spent the morning salivating over your collection of Fossil and Invicta watches. I don't generally make "friends" but I'll be happy to do so in this instance. 😊 Also, would you like to go on a unicorn hunt? I have a Fossil Blue CH-2483 that I can longer wear b/c I'm afraid the lugs will break. The lugs and bracelet are translucent orange resin (acrylic? ) and I have only seen mention online in two instances, and they're no longer available.

ghillie27822 Sadly, a new watch. There's actually nothing wrong with the watch itself, but when my husband epoxied the lug back together he got the edge of back cover and bezel edge too. Bad design by Fossil. But love the watch. Really need to take pics. Will post here as not for sale. I(F B)eing social, "handle" same?

right_on_time @ghillie27822 So, a new watch and you were already having to epoxy it? Not sure I would call it a design flaw. I'm guessing he was epoxying the band and there's a good chance the integrity of the material was compromised just from degradation over time. I've had few that looked great and the links and/or straps would practically crumble.

right_on_time @liledeglace Well thank you. It's actually grown as I have stopped adding listings here on this venue. I'm currently focusing on a more "social" place, if you know what I mean. This is my second trist w/Poshmark & I just can't do the 20% comm anymore. If there's something you want but don't see, let me know.

liledeglace @right_on_time yes, it is a huge cut from sales! At first I was okay with it because the labels were printing and USPS usually charges $4-50 for shipping if packages are heavy or going international.

liledeglace Now I’m not so sure because my customers have complained about slow shipping, damaged packages, etc. guess all internet businesses are at the mercy of USPS service improving, but it is comforting to know that I’m not the only one missing packages and having to report these irregularities to USPS and Poshmark:(

right_on_time @liledeglace Yeah, for many of the Fossil watches you're in that, say, $50-$80 range & people are automatically thinking discount & sellers are thinking 20% fee & for me a new battery or sometimes multiple batteries. So before negotiation begins you're potentially $20 apart, maybe more. It has killed many deals before they even start.

right_on_time @liledeglace It's extremely irritating when a shipped item is not tracked & Posh sends you the reminder, you tell them "shipped but not tracking" & the it's another reminder/ email with some condescending, patronizing BS about "sometimes we forget to actually ship, please check around the house in case your forgot" or similar nonsense. I told them if you're gonna believe me the first time DO NOT send me any notifications as I will no longer respond.

I haven’t received those patronizing emails yet, but thanks for the warning! There’s lots of sites out there where it’s free to sell&post, so good luck on the transition! You can’t copy&paste anything on this platform, so you have some work cut out for you:( so I will respect your time&decision&just wish you luck in starting the next chapter of your business elsewhere☘️

And yes, the time it takes to list hundreds of watches with multiple quality pics & descriptions is extremely time consuming which is part of why I can't just walk away from Posh. You seem like a "social" person and maybe you'll show your "Face" elsewhere & find me reading a "book" or something. 😉

In the price range most of my items are those factors along with the shipping cost for buyer or seller are major deal-killers, often before they even start. I sincerely appreciate the kind words.
