I told them about your hat but I must put it off this week and revisit this matter late next week. I’m so glad you kept me in mind. Is there a safe way to pack the hat so it doesn’t get smashed during shipment? This is my concern.

vagabondhouse @fancyshoes3 I'm glad you are safely back! And absolutely! When I pack hats I pack tissue paper in the crown to maintain shape and wrap around the outside of the hat as well. I am always sure to choose a strong, large enough box so that the hat is not cramped or crushed in any way. If the hat is still available later next week I will reach out again. fancyshoes3 @h_sanford the hat is lovely. I will only say that this week I have curtailed purchases due to a pipe burst last week (during holiday weekend). It promises to be a costly expense. Sorry to tell you all this but i would have scooped up the hat by now. Once I know the expense of the (major) work, (hopefully today), then I can proceed. I don’t expect you to hold the hat, but if you could, I would be grateful. I have an affinity for this sort of hat which most perhaps do not. Thank you.

vagabondhouse @fancyshoes3 I am so sorry to hear about your pipe! We had one burst last year, it's never fun. I'm clearing out most of my closet to earn what I can before we leave to see family. My closet will be in holiday/vacation mode starting on December 8th and we won't be back home til Christmas Eve. fancyshoes3 Now promise not to laugh. I learned today that water was restored 😀😀 (on my way home as we speak), but in doing so, they cut a line and now there is no power which equals no heat. 😢😢. Fingers crossed they’ve restored power by the time I arrive. In any event, thanks for being a sweetie on the hat. I hope I can do something before someone else does.😀

fancyshoes3 My dear, I will be out of town soon for the holiday. The water repair folks who knocked out a power line said they would send the utility company on Saturday, but never did. They’ve dug a big trench & also knocked out the Internet. I will circle back after T-Giving (fingers crossed your lovely hat will still be around). I do want to wear it around Charleston and I may need Goorins down there to help get it to fit my tiny head. Lol

If this is her regular manner of doing business, it is unacceptable. I lost an opportunity to purchase other boots for my holiday trip, and now I have nothing. Sad.
