Good morning, you purchased my listing, i just wanted to know if you read the description about it being a manual mode lens

@reveureternel hello, Yes, I am aware Takumar is manual focus. Pictures you posted make them look immaculate. Just need aperture and blades to be as they should be, focus action to be smooth, filter threads to accept filters (no cross-thread damage) and condition of lens elements to be free of scratches, mold, haze oil. Very mild dust usually exists in vintage

@garacha888 yes they are in great shape, no problems with focusing or aperture blades, filters can be placed without an issue. there is some minor scratches on one of the lens body but they aren’t going to affect lens performance in any way, no haze but like you said there usually is dust/debris internally as they are vintage lenses. The 55mm is one of the sharpest classic lenses I’ve ever used, I will miss them but i know they are going to someone who will appreciate them

@garacha888 I forgot to place a note inside the box but be careful when opening them, they will be wrapped individually and placed inside a camera case, then wrapped again several times on the outside

@reveureternel ok, good to know.
Do you mind if I ask which ‘normal’ lens (or lenses) you have chosen over the Takumars?
Personally, I am exploring a few legacy lenses, and currently not a fan of UNCOATED versions, though I can appreciate photographer’s successes using flare as a tool.
(I’m guessing the convenience of autofocus for you??)

@garacha888 yes i have changed to autofocus lenses not that anything is wrong with manual focusing i just find that they speed up my work rate when it comes to product photography. Vintage takumars have the multi coated lenses that tend to do better against flares when taking outdoor pictures, a great deal of sharpness and great depth of field background blur which is why i love using them. Unfortunately Its a premium one has to pay now for any modern lenses that have various lens coatings
