@anetabiondica Hello there. Unfortunately, I am terribly disappointed that when I opened the box it wreaks of cigarette smoke, as does the purse and dust bag. I have bought at least a dozen things off of this site and not one time have I ever thought to ask about does it come from a smoke-free place. Luckily, I have not had that issue with anything else I've bought from here. I have a very high sensitivity to odors and especially cigarette smoke.

I have looked up how to get the smell out of a pocketbook and each video and article I read said that you can never fully get cigarette smoke out of anything permanently. I'm not sure what I want to do. Any advice?

I am sorry you are disappointed with your purchase! 😟 I do want to assure you that my home is smoke free! I have a little one that has allergies and can guarantee you no smoke enters my home! I did ship your purse out a couple days before the Burberry actually started tracking. Now I'm not sure where the Burberry purse was being held for a couple of days while waiting to be shipped. It took the post office 2 days to finally start shipping your Burberry purse.

I am terribly sorry this matter has occurred. All I can guarantee you is that my home is smoke free! I did just look up how to get rid of odors on purses and I read an article about how someone stuck thier purse in the freezer for a few hours and she said got rid of all the odors!

@anetabiondica I hate to say this but everything I've tried has not gotten the smell out of this purse. I don't know where you may have gotten it from and/or where it was stored but there's no way that this smell could have gotten into it and permeated into it during the shipping. I'm thinking I want to return this. unfortunately I am very upset to have to do this because I have wanted this purse for some time now.

@anetabiondica But I cannot keep a purse that smells like this. I put it in the freezer, I put the silica packs into it, I aired it out outside on my screened in porch and that's about all the things that I read you can do. I was really hoping that putting it in the freezer overnight was going to do the trick. but it did not. I don't know what else to do.

@ronnapernell I have already answered ever single one of your questions. At this point I would be repeating myself and I'm honestly frustrated and upset regarding this whole order. I already told you my home is smoke free. You know yourself the Burberry does not smell like smoke. I will not entertain something that is not true. I did everything I possibly could as a seller and even made sure the purse arrived to you before mothers day like you have requested.

When the Burberry was in my hands it was brand new with tags and the purse handle still had the original plastic wrapping on it. The purse was in pristine, new condition!

You have had the Burberry purse for 3 days tomorrow will be 4 days. I have no idea in what condition the Burberry purse is in now. I have been waiting to hear back from you for over 24 hours and I havent heard back from you. You wouldn't release the funds to me and you didnt even contact poshmark. You were just trying to decide if you should keep the Burberry purse or not. Honesty goes a long way.

@anetabiondica just so you know that today was the third day that I've had the purse. The purse is in pristine shape as I have done nothing to it whatsoever other than set it out on my screen to import that is covered and screened for 24 hours and the smell was still so bad. I then proceeded to put it in the freezer, which you even recommended which I had listened to on a video as well.

@anetabiondica however, putting it in the freezer did not work. I have tried numerous things and it still smells the same as it did the day that I took it out of the box. The purses and its original condition nothing has been taken off of it other than the plastic around the leather strap. I took that off only because I was trying to get the smell out of all of it. The tags are still on the purse. I have done nothing with it whatsoever.

I then contacted you and told you that I wish to return the purse last night. So I told you that I wanted to return this when I had the purse for 2 days. I am not trying to be rude or anything. All I know is that the purse wreaks of cigarette smoke.

@anetabiondica I do not smoke, never have smoked and I don't hang around anybody that does smoke. I am super sensitive to the smell and that's the first thing I smelled when I opened up the box. The box that it came in itself did not smell like smoke on the outside of the box. It was not until I opened it up that I smelled it.

I can't use it because it stinks so badly. and I'm not accusing you of smoking in your home but I don't know who you might have gotten it from that it smelled like this. Where did you get it from?

@anetabiondica and another thing, I have contacted Poshmark and they have not gotten back with me. I emailed them yesterday morning and I have yet to hear back from them at all, concerning this situation. So neither one of y'all are holding up your end of the deal. I got it on Friday evening and I have from Friday to Saturday, from Saturday to Sunday, from Sunday to Monday. So today was my final day.

@anetabiondica I will also add that I bought a purse off of here that is a Burberry purse as well that I got a week before I got yours and there's no smells with that one at all. It is a used purse, in perfect condition. No stains, no marks nowhere on the leather nothing. But most importantly, no smells whatsoever. I also ordered a wallet that matches the purse I got from you and it has no smells.

I was even checking my phone all day sunday to see if you have reached out to me on posh. I responded back to you every time. You have had this bag going on 4 days now. I'm not sure what you want me to do. The bag has been out of my hands for over a week now. You even released/accepted the order. You just stated you even removed the original packaging from the purse.

If you were unhappy with the purse you should have issued a return. I cant issue a return for you. It is not ok to make the seller wait days to receive funds because you wanted to take your time deciding if you were going to keep the purse or not.

Poshmark has rules.I cant do anything on my end! You can look at the burberry bag and tell that the bag was not exposed to smoke at all whatsoever. The purse has been out of my hands. I no longer have it. My job was to ship you purchase out and make sure it delivered. The rest is up to the buyer(you).
