Welcome to Poshmark! Wanted to share some advice, put the brand name and size in the title as well as the item type. A lot of people shop for brand. @obicloset I heard from experienced full time poshers that they started seeing consistent sales when they 200+ items in their inventory. so that is my goal. I sold 7. Just need 8 more sold and I will be a posh ambassador :)

Youβre right, I do need more followers, so anytime someone shares or like something in my closet , I follow them and list some of their items, hoping they will also follow me. @obicloset what I do to gain more followers is go to someoneβs closet with like 200k followers and click follow down the line. Go to parties and share the heck out of listings. Leave some positive comments under peopleβs listings like βnice shirtβ or βbeautiful dressβ. Also, share your items in your closet a couple times a day. All this advise is how I was able to gain 17k followers in 2.5 weeks π Hope this helps π

@obicloset I don't think it will limit you, it will bring more variety and potential buyers to your closet. I want to include boutique items but I need a wholesale license. Until then, I am focused on finding and selling brands according to the poshmark "featured brands" list.

@obicloset You will go to the women's market and each category (clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories) have a featured brands list meaning that that brand is popular. The some featured brands for clothing are Anthropologie, Free people and Lululemon. If you have no idea of what brands to look for (as a new person) you can start by looking at the featured brands under those categories

@brittanymunoz19 I am, Iβve been in San Antonio since Sunday, sourcing. Iβve been to the bins the past 3 days, also Platoβs closet, and Avenue which is closing. So all their clothes are $5.00 at the store I went to. Hopefully, Iβll have enough to reach 1000 items. I just hope business picks up. Itβs been kinda slow.

@obicloset My activity is mostly in the evening when I get home. I share my entire closet AND follow people from 6pm to 10pm Arizona time and this morning I woke up to 300 notifications on the poshmark app. I don't get the same results when I am sharing in the morning. People must be on their way to work or already at work. I think about when I am most active on the poshmark app and it is when I am at home watching TV or in the bed looking at my phone and I assume everyone else does that too.
