Hi! I'm Ruth. Thanks for stopping by! Contempo dominates my closet; I was one of those "Contempo girls" Loved Contempo mindset; love vintage for who wants to be a cookie cutter copy!?! We were, each <3, created individually by the King's Hand; I believe that transfers to what garbs our bodies as well! Look at the flowers His Word tells us; they will teach us:) Circumstances dictate that I must find new homes for 4+ generations of family treasure so 90% of my closet is vintage to antique. For an understanding of the vintage philosophy of & more info about my closet check out that listing (Mirrory climbing a palm tree) Hand Crafted also holds space in Once Upon a Kind as I have always been drawn to OOAK one of a kind treasures and the art I do is just that - ONE of a kind as I do not duplicate. My mom used to encourage me as I grew up not exactly fitting into the crowd that I was the color spectrum dalmation in a litter of black and white dots and that just made it easier to find me. Wise woman she was <3 I encourage you to make an offer or bundle as I do not lower prices OTL. If you 'like' multiples, I will ask you to bundle 2/+ if you'd like a personal offer as I don't read minds 😁. My closet is set at 5%/2 and I do 20%/2 for returning treasure hunters so offers between those parameters stand a strong chance of acceptance. I give thanks everyday that so far I am not in any pain. I concentrate on how blessed I have been with a good life. A perfect 47 years married, great family and friends and had a lot of fun along the way. I've had it all and consider myself a very lucky lady. Thank you again. You have touched my heart. ❤❤

kmmontone @onceuponakind Well, God has definitely blessed me this holiday season. Friday I expected my nephew & his family (6) for lunch. Turned out he got a bunch more relatives involved as a surprise and every 10 minutes another group would walk in the door. Surprise after surprise. Ended up with 15 people came to be with me.

kmmontone Then Saturday my friend & her family (9) were coming and she gather up another 5 friends to surprise me. Total of 14. Today next door neighbor & family (plus daughter's boyfriends) came over. Total of 9). Friday, Saturday, & Sunday were complete wonderful surprises. Their visits were the best gifts in the world. Yes, God definitely gave me extra blessings this year.

threetabbycats @onceuponakind Oh! We used to have a little orange tabby girl (unusual since orange tabbies are almost always male) who like to eat fabric! She ruined so many things, including a couple of quilts my mom made. But we loved her anyway. She kept my husband on our toes re picking up and not leaving things lying around! She also like to eat plastic bags!

threetabbycats @onceuponakind Vixen particularly liked any clothing and blankets that had her peoples' smell on them. It was so aggravating! I don't mean to scare you, but we had to put her down at age 14 because she got stomach cancer. Try if you can to break your kitty of that habit!
