Hi! Thanks for buying the Pyrex carafe. I just wanted to apologize in advance for the excess packaging!! I boxed it and then decided I should have padded the top more (you know how the post office is!) so I put that box in another box!!! It may take you a little while to get to the piece but it will be worth it!! Thanks again. Sue
