Hi Sage. Just wanted to let you know the I am so sorry you think the straps were too long. They are standard sized straps so you will be able to criss cross as pictured. There really was no reason to specify this information on the description since it was shown on the photos, I was so sure you would love this romper and give me an excellent rating.
