kellseyjacobs Hi I just got ur message I'm so sorry that the wallet smelled of smoke we just moved and I had some things stored at my mother-in-laws in her garage she does smoke I thought I had everything sealed good n tight if u want to return it I completely understand but if ud like to remove the odor u can by taking a lil vinegar and water and wiping it down then wiping it with a dry cloth I looked it up as soon as I read ur message again Im truly sorry about the inconvenience

saguilar0227 @kellseyjacobs hi kellsey, i was super disappointed :( i love the wallet the smell is really strong. I have it in a bag with dryer sheets and i used leather cleaner wipes. Ill try the vinegar. Thanks so much!

kellseyjacobs @saguilar0227 I am so sorry sweetie I feel so horrible when I got ur message i immediately changed some of my listings that were in the same storage container with the wallet so no one else would be disappointed I don't want u or anyone unhappy with something they purchase I would have never sent it if I had known try the vinegar and water and see if that will work if it doesn't plz let me know and I will reimburse u

kellseyjacobs @saguilar0227 hey sweetie thanks for messaging me back I talked to my local leather cleaners because I've been trying to get rid of the smell on my leather bags that were in storage as well he told me to air them out if I didn't want to pay to have them cleaned the easiest way to get rid of it was to just set the bags or wallets opened up outside for a couple hours everyday

kellseyjacobs @saguilar0227 for about a week just don't put in direct sunlight but he said after doing this wipe them down with leather cleaning/conditioning wipes that u can get at ur local Walmart in the automotive isle for about 3 dollars he said after a few days the smell should be completely gone if it's a strong smell may need to do it a few more days but he said this is the best way to get rid of any kind of odors in leather

kellseyjacobs @saguilar0227 I've done this for 4 days now with one of my bags I've set it out on the patio for about 4 hours each day and the smell is so faint I can actually use the bag again so plz try this I want u to be able to finally use the wallet already that uve paid for I hate that u haven't been able to use it I just got done using these wipes and I literally can not smell anything but the wipes so this seems to be the quickest way I tried the vinegar and it didn't do half as good as this did 😊

kellseyjacobs @saguilar0227 u are more than welcome untill I know it's gone and ur able to use it I'll keep in touch and I hadn't heard from u in a while and wasn't sure if u had any luck getting it out so after I talked to the guy from my local cleaners about the bags and wallets and tried what he said as soon as I saw that it was working I wanted to let you know cause I really want u to be able to use it already and I know u do too I hate u having to do any of this at all

kellseyjacobs @saguilar0227 but hopefully by this time next week the smell will be gone and u can finally start using it after he told me what to do it made sense when my mother-in-law rides in my car it stinks of smoke so I leave the windows down to air it out and my husband cleans the seats with leather wipes and after a few days the smell is gone so I was kicking myself that I didn't think to do this first just keep me posted sweetie 😊
