Sorry you weren't happy with your purchase--I did however clean it before I sent it out and I'm not sure why it would smell like smoke as I am not a smoke and I brought it directly from Kate Spade.

@hsicard No worries. I am happy with my purchase. The inside just required more cleaning than described. I don't know where the cigarette smoke odor came from, but it's fine now since I've cleaned it and sprayed it with febreeze.
