nevadabean received the white jacket. There are no material tags and instructions how to wash. Do you know?? Is it dry clean or wash. There are no tags at all only a string .

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean Let me check if the navy one I am also selling has tags inside the garment, I have never worn or washed either, so the minute I get home I will check.

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean If the navy one doesn’t have any tags in it either, which I am kind of afraid of, since I never wore either, and so I have never washed them and therefore never looked for care tags, I will bring the navy one to my drycleaner and ask them how they would care for crepe fabric. Since the white one doesn’t have care tags, I will be surprised if the navy one does.

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean ok, so I just checked the navy jacket and it has no care instructions or labels in that one either. I just emailed Goodnight Macaroon’s Customer Service with the pictures of those two jackets attached, and told them there are no labels on either. I asked them if they could tell me the care instructions. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them. And meanwhile, I will be going to my drycleaner with the navy jacket and ask the manager there for care instruction advice.

catwalk_junkie The Goodnight Macaroon website states that their Customer Service gets back to customers in 3-5 days. So, I will have gone to my drycleaners before that. But it couldn’t hurt to get two opinions. Let’s hope they are the same opinion :)

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean Good Evening, I just wanted to let you know I have not forgotten about you, it is just that when the dry cleaner closes, I am not home yet. But I will get there this week. I have still not heard from Goodnight Macaroon, regarding the email I sent, but maybe when they say 3-5 business days, they mean 5 full business days, so I hope to hear from them by Friday at the latest.

nevadabean @sanna91975 thank you for the update. It is strange the company doesn't put care tags on. Many the cleaners can help. I guess my best bet would be to dry clean to be sure. But it would be nice to know I didn't have to.

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean To be honest, I think it is mandatory for companies to put care labels on clothing, even if it is made overseas, they have to put them in the garment before selling, so I am very confused by this as well.

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean I think it is required by Federal Law to have care labels, a label that states the country of origin, and fabric labels in all clothing, so I am not going to let this go with them.

nevadabean @sanna91975 That's true it is suppose to tell where it's made too. I searched the garment completely could not find where any evidence where any thing had been cut off.

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean I did the exact same thing to the navy one I have here, and they clearly never put a label on either one of them. I am kind of shocked, because I always thought Goodnight Macaroon was a reputable company, but I can’t imagine a retail company doesn’t know their own business laws.

nevadabean @sanna91975 I bought a Nic & Zoe top from a boutique and all the tags were cut because it was past season but you could see where they were cut and the price tag gave the style, name ,etc on it.

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean You know how when you buy bedding and it will have a tag on say, a pillow, and it will say “do not remove, unless by the consumer”. I think this is the law for garments as well. I don’t think they should be cutting tags for past season collection either. But I know that they didn’t cut tags at Goodnight Macaroon, because, like you said, it would show, and this navy one doesn’t show it either.

catwalk_junkie Which is kind of ridiculous, because all clothing eventually gets discounted. Maybe very few pieces that are collectibles and/or haute couture do not, but a brand should know a boutique will eventually cut the price to make room for new season collection.

nevadabean any way I love the jacket and I use dryel in my dryer to dry clean some of my clothes so better just dry clean it.

catwalk_junkie @nevadabean ok, I have answers :-). I had to leave the navy jacket that you purchased in white at the dry cleaner, because the manager wasn’t there and I wanted her to look at it. She said in her 35 years of experience,she thinks it is a rayon/poly blend and should be dry cleaned in her opinion. Since I hadn’t heard back from Goodnight Macaroon, I emailed them again and they told me they put care instructions on their website in the description and once it is off their website, they don’t know.

nevadabean @catwalk_junkie thank you .The dry cleaners opinion sounds right to me I get the dryel kits from walmart.I do a lot of my things I am unsure about. It has a bag and cleaning solution and it steams clean. Thank you again as I may have tried to wash it and it would shrink.

catwalk_junkie @fgl83777 I know, it is so frustrating. It is due to the holidays and USPS being overwhelmed with packages. All the packages are taking super long. The one before you took over two weeks to get there. And it is even more frustrating, because tracking was last updated on December 18th and said “arriving late, still in transit”. I know you will get it, but USPS is taking very long these past few weeks. I will call on it tomorrow.

catwalk_junkie @fgl83777 The shipping label says “3 day priority shipping”, so much for that!!! Yes, that is the most frustrating that it just stops giving notifications. This happened to a package coming to me as well. It stopped giving notifications, but it did arrive. And I ordered that in the beginning of Dec, thinking it would be enough time before the holidays. I am hoping since it is after Christmas it will start moving again now.

nevadabean @fostercatmom i love dryel. ut is not cheap but neither is dry cleaning. The dry cleaners told me they clean 28 lbs at a time and so it is being cleaned with other peoples stuff. i do have to get a new bag from time to time . But the clothes come out clean and not wrinkled. I do jackets as well.

nevadabean They come out a slight bit damp so need to be hung alone to air. It is like steam cleaning.
