And yes it is a mixture of retail and pre owned clothing :) there is a lot more pre owned clothing or new with tags but the posh community is growing everyday and more and more closets are selling retail. Most of my clothing is pre owned or new with tags but I have started selling retail to increase productivity :) many women on here are making jobs out of selling clothing just like me :)

mkguiles I noticed you've changed things up and are modeling your items as opposed to doing flat lays. Just curious if you feel like it has made a difference in your sales? I love the look of flat lays but am wondering if modeling my items would be worth the extra time or even really change my sales volume. Would you be willing to share? bootas12 @mkguiles Hey Mary, Thanks for dropping by and for asking a great question. It might be too early for me to tell for sure, but I think I've sold at just about the same rate, if not more. By modeling I've been able to list items faster than by creating a flat lay. I also LOVE the look of a flat lay, but creating that doesn't come easy to me and takes a bit of time.

I mostly started modeling because people would ask for that before they bought an item, and because I have limited time. I plan on creating flat lays for some of the items in about a month when classes end, but until then I'll just keep modeling and hanging! If you have any more questions send them my way. And if you have any tips on the flat lay and how to make it happen fast also send those my way! 😉💕

bootas12 @jstilly girl, I wish I could get back into too!!! More than anything, that was my only way of staying in shape that I enjoyed! I trained and loved doing tap, jazz and lyrical but I was made for ballet. It's easier to maintain the other styles at this point though, with ballet it takes so much attention and there's really no room to take breaks... Good luck with your dance team! That sounds like the best job in the world!!!

bootas12 @nanamims I would suggest writing about your sale on every item you're selling, tagging people who've liked items in your closet about the sale, and making a separate listing "notification" at the top of your closet that informs buyers of the sale. Posting on people's accounts and on their posts is self-promoting and in some cases spam. Especially if they've never liked or followed your closet. Hope that helps!!

sheisworthit By the way, I love that you mention you are a Jesus Christ lover in your bio! Thats awesome. I am too. The reason I started posh is to pay for my mission trips to Thailand.
