snappydj @honorslove I bought a pair for my wife awhile back and ended up not fitting. They were purchased from a mutual friend. My wife listed them on here today and immediately got flagged, called fakes, and listing was deleted. Is this a common thing that happens? I have had them verified by the local expert who also put the Vibram bottoms on and did some minor work on them.

honorslove @snappydj I've never had any of my Louboutins flagged or the listing deleted on Poshmark. I had a previous closet on here and sold and traded lots of pairs. There are a lot of people selling "fakes" on here but they typically will say they aren't authentic in listing. Louboutin Fakes are pretty obvious, it's hard to mistake the real ones for fake ones. But the only way for me to tell you or help you would be to see a picture of them and tell you if they're real or not.

honorslove @snappydj if you go to your profile listing in your closet up at the top right it should say Edit. If you tap that, you should be able to upload pics. OR, just create a new listing for them but list as Not For Sale.

honorslove @snappydj yes, those are fake unfortunately. I hope you didn't give your friend a lot of money for them. You can still list them, but you'd have to disclose that they're replicas.

snappydj @honorslove what part or details are not correct. I took them into the local people here like I mentioned, to have work done on them. They verified the authenticity of the shoes. The company has been in business longer than I have been alive and I'm 36.

honorslove @snappydj the bottoms are a dead giveaway. The bottoms of Loubs are painted leather the red paint is really shiny. Like nail polish shiny. The inside of the shoes are off too. The gold stamping looks good, but replicas ALWAYS mess up on the insole material. The color of the insole is very specific.

snappydj @honorslove the heels by no means are close to new so the bottoms might not be really shiny. What material is used on the insole? Sorry. Just want to find out so it doesn't happen in the future. Still kind of surprised due to being told they are authentic by the "professional" where I live :/

snappydj @honorslove I appreciate your time and input. People that have owned and worn a pair many times can see the subtle differences. You seemed like you would know and I don't doubt you are correct. I'm a jean guy. I can spot fakes of different brands but have little knowledge on women's heels.

honorslove @snappydj even with wear, the bottoms that are untouched from pavement will always retain that shiny nail polish like look. The entire shoe is leather. The insole where you see the gold Christian Louboutin stamp....I'm honestly unsure of what that material is made of. My suggestion would be to take a trip to a Louboutin boutique or Saks, or Neiman Marcus & look at a Loub. Pick it up, touch it, try it on. Once you do that you'll never mistake another Louboutin again

honorslove @snappydj BTW, Christian Louboutin boutiques usually have good sales around Christmas and just after Christmas. Up to 300-400 off the original price. So do the major department stores like Saks and Neiman Marcus. They do another sale around summer time too. Manolo Blahnik also has some amazing sales too. Usually around holidays like Labor Day, and Christmas.
