Hi! I'm Sarah. Some of my favorite brands are Columbia, The North Face and Rab. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and have a growing collection of gear, especially down jackets. The smoother/puffier the better. I'm usually a buyer rather than a seller on Poshmark. Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me a comment so that I can check out your closet

sc631 My favorite jacket is my brown North Face Nuptse: really warm, comfortable, but very light in weight and silky to touch.

sc631 My long Columbia coat, the Hexbreaker is fantastic too. Light for it's size but nice and warm. The Omni-Heat lining is amazing. It's long and warm enough to double as a sleeping bag while camping (or at home :) ) especially with the hood.

sc631 My black North Face Destiny jacket (pictured) is arguably warmer than the Nuptse. The hood is the warmest and most comfortable I have ever worn.

sc631 A fun aspect of the Destiny jacket is how smooth its nylon is. The wonderfully shaped baffles on the front, back and even the hood are very generously filled with down. The nylon is the smoothest I have ever felt. I love to touch it; so do my friends; even with me wearing it! I get a lot of compliments and hugs when I wear this jacket.

sc631 I always enjoy wearing it and love how it feels right from the time you are putting it on and zipping into it; you can tell it offers serious protection from the cold.

sc631 The majority of my friends have tried this jacket on and love how warm it is and how great it feels. They never waste time in zipping fully into the jacket and then putting up the wonderful hood. They always laugh off any ruffled hair styles in exchange for the great experience and comfortable this jacket offers.

sc631 The Columbia Hexbreaker (pictured above) is fantastic at keeping the wind out due to it's Velcro storm flap, thick collar and comfort cuffs. You and your friends will love how smooth it's nylon is too. More than one lady in online reviews even wrote their kids love to touch it and hug them when they wear it!

sc631 @biddybit21 As for me; the weather is just starting to get cool enough to wear my North Face Nuptse jacket during my daily commute. I could only wear it a little after I got it since it was getting too warm to need it. With a long but successful week over; I wanted to relax a little. On Friday night; with the house now my cooler; I did what I said I was going to do and got intimate with my jacket.

sc631 My boyfriend asked why was my jacket lying on the bed? I said it was getting cooler at night and I was going to wear it instead of using an extra blanket. I said I would be warmer and more comfortable. It was fantastic taking everything off, putting the jacket on and then fully zipping into it. My boyfriend didn't mind but he soon mentioned the swishing sound of the nylon every time I moved in the bed was distracting.

sc631 I found that the jacket cushions you no matter what way you are lying. Even after a short time you can feel how much heat the down has absorbed especially in the front and in the sleeves. As always the collar's fleece lining felt like brushed suede around your neck. Finally the jacket's lining feels great against whatever part of your body it touches. Thanks to how the down regulates heat I never became too warm.

sc631 I admit this is a weird thing to do but I've always liked to wear things that feel good. I suppose it's not much different to current trends such as long leather pants or wet look/shiny leggings.

sc631 Last night I did the same again but this time with my knee length Columbia Hexbreaker jacket; although I did first detach the hood. All I can say is "Wow!" It's longer length, super smooth nylon and really comfortable inner metallic lining (called Omni-Heat and made from real aluminium) almost gave me a sensual overload as it caressed/touched so much of my body.

sc631 When I fully zip this jacket it's collar covers my mouth and comes up just below my nose. I found it funny when it made the good night kiss a little awkward. I needed to un-fastenen the Velcro and lower the zip to the bottom of the collar to complete the deed. I then zipped and fastened back up. I can't recommend this night time attire enough; even if you only ever try it once; it's worth it!

sc631 Another highlight was feeling on my skin just how well the Omni-Heat reflects body heat. It feels exactly like the soothing effect of Summer sunshine. It's a strange but nice feeling. It feels like the heat is coming out of nowhere. As above; I never over heated at anytime.

sc631 With the cooler weather now here I'm going to keep this up. I'm considering wearing my North Face Destiny jacket tonight. Not sure yet whether I'll leave the hood down or if I fully suit up inside it. It might get a little too warm. Thanks for reading.

sc631 Last night I slept in my Destiny jacket. It was really nice fully zipped, snow skirt fastened and with the hood up. Just like the Columbia coat; with the Destiny's hood up and the jacket fully zipped it covers my mouth. It took some getting used to with just my nose and eyes left exposed.

sc631 The lining of the jacket is OK; I wish it was nylon rather than taffeta. Overall though a great experience. The hood was a little warm but not overally so. The jacket kept me warm without over heating. The nylon of the jacket is the best I have ever felt.

razmataz22 @sc631 How much do you love your down jackets? Have you really slept in your jackets? I really want that one north face that you talked up. Could I wear it year round?

hml03 Do you have anymore pictures of you wearing your nuptse and nuptse 2 vest?
Aug 04Reply
sc631
sc631 @hml03 Yes, I now have another brown Nuptse jacket. Here are photos of me wearing both. There are also some more photos of my Nuptse 2 vest. Posing for these was inconvenient so I won't be making a habit of it. Just a good will gesture this time.

retrostylez why are you adding unnecessary spam comments to my listings?

sc631 @retrostylez With respect, I was simply trying to answer a question someone had asked of one your listings. Apologies that I caused you offense/inconvenience that was never my intention.

retrostylez @sc631 lol, a buyer asked me a question about an item I'm selling and you add your 2 cents. I've never seen anyone take it upon themselves to do that. I would ask that you avoid my listings as it sends me an alert which just wastes my time. Thanks

hchase12 @sc631 hi! Please let me know if you’d be interested in selling your brown nuptse jacket. I’ve been looking for one for my sisters birthday gift, but the north face no longer makes them in that specific color ):

sc631
sc631 @hchase12 That's true they are no longer made but I have seen many available on other sites e.g. Ebay and Depop. They are very expensve but its a rare color. I'm sorry but I won't part with mine; I love it too much. I'm wearing it daily with the really cold weather right now. Sorry that I can help you and I hope you find what you are lookig for. Thanks for your message.
