cardigancoll @cabrerasf ... thanks for writing! ... believe it or not it is an 11 step process that takes quite some time ... the only way I'm able to reach any efficiency is to do 10-15 pairs at a time, otherwise the set-up of the steps would take far to long for it to be worthwhile....using a 3" dia (no larger) 18grit flap wheel just BARELY BARELY remove the top layer... maybe .020-.030 no more ...

cardigancoll @cabrerasf ... you need to use the small dia wheel as the outsole is not flat, and anything bigger will take too much material off, you just want to breathe the top layer off, and you need to do it at very slow speed so you can carefully apply the wheel and also not burn the leather ... then random orbit sand with 240, 320, 400, 600 and 800 grit ... then with a fine artistic hand, trim the perimeter with fiebings leather dye (brown or black) ... then Saphir sole protectant ...

cardigancoll @cabrerasf ... then Saphir M d'Or Creme pigmented polish... let dry (soak in) 30 min+ ... horsehair brush ... again Saphir M d'Or Creme pigmented polish...let dry (soak in) 30 min+ ... horsehair brush ... Saphir M d'Or wax polish...let dry (soak in) 3 hr+ ...horsehair brush .... cotton polishing cloth ... voila!
