Hi! I'm Scout. I'm a single mom (kids are 26 and 16) shoe addict and purse hoarder. ;) I gravitate to fashion that I find interesting along the lines of Betsey Johnson. I love books and movies (favorites include Blue Velvet and The Princess Bride). Currently listening to Pearl Jam. Smoke free cat friendly home. Some of my listings are from the household closets, others are found at estate sales, thrift store, yard sales, vintage sales. Etc. Dry cleaning/washing recommended.

thegreygypsy @abstractdreams I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. I've been through that before and didn't think I'd get more. But these cats needed rescuing when they were 12 weeks old and I couldn't say no. Katniss is the tortie colored cat and Nyan is the black fellow. They are my little loves.

abstractdreams My pets have always been rescues. Some from the shelter, some before they got sent to one. I could never be without, despite the pain. She was special to me. She came to me @ a dark time & was a comfort & a joy every day. I still have Ozzie (named for Ozzy, cause he's not right in the head & eats the strangest things), and I love him, but he's not the comfort she was...😢

thegreygypsy @abstractdreams my Nyan cat eats any kind of string he can find. And the girl cat will pee on any dirty laundry that's in the floor or the bath mat. They are so weird! Lol Not the loving comfort of previous cats, but they needed me and we have adapted our lives around them.

abstractdreams Well actually, I thank families too they may do the serving, they sacrifice. Ozzie like to eat dryer sheets, or wipes anything with that kind of texture! I have to count the dryer sheets when they come out! Lol! If he can't have those, he like tissue, or kleenix or ppr towels! He's just not right. The peeing thing is kind of hilarious! I used to say Ebony would pee on my pillow if...whatever might pi$$ her off. Lol!!

abstractdreams If you google the poo thing, there's a physiological reason they do it. Idk why they seem to like plastic. I had a black lab they ate the plastic edging in my flower beds! Lol! But here's the strange coincidence! Eb LOVED to lick pics or shiny magazine covers! Ozzie's vet said some animals have Pica, after he needed surgery when a dryer sheet got stuck!😳

thegreygypsy @vickyrich Thank you. I use magic eraser and Snapseed. Magic Eraser sometimes requires me to blow up the pictures and hand edit, which takes a lot of time but helps get a good white background. Snapseed is good for light edit And brightening. Both took some time to get used to and learn to use. Now I find It meditative to edit. 😁

thegreygypsy @laurasim Thank you for the kind words. My closet is always in a constant state of improvement as I learn more myself. I looked at you closer and it is fantastic. I would suggest finding a way to make your background taut (double sided tape and tacks were my friends when I used a curtain backdrop) as the ridges and places where the fabric bulges our distract from the item listed. Not a huge deal but a smooth backdrop brings your item to the forefront

thegreygypsy @laurasim The best investment I ever made was getting a lighting kit. I don’t have great lighting in my home or good natural light so the lighting kit has helped me to combat shadows. I also use The app Snapseed to lighten photos when needed. And I follow so really cool resellers on Instagram. Empty Hanger, Oscilatey, The deal Queen etc. They all offer great advice.

She said I begged to bring him home so he would be loved! I think that started my life long live of the way David Lynch deals with human beings. I don’t think the average person would get “it” so I’m kinda glad Blue Velvet has remained an Indy cult hit! I’m going to have to do a Lynch marathon sometime soon I can feel it!
