Hi y'all, I'm Shannon. I LOVE old fashion (clothes/shoes/handbags/shiny stuff). I spent most of my sunny Saturday mornings "hitting up garage sales" with my Mama. I've always had a love for 40's and 50's fashion!!!

Hi Shannon. :) I'm glad I took time to read your MTP. I too love old fashion/vintage styles. I have my grandmother's driving gloves, and can barely fit my hands in them. So much "dainty" back then. My 17 year old is on a serious hunt for a tweed men's suit...as in he's "researched" companies. I don't find "kindred spirits" in this manner very often...it's nice to "meet".

@thepapersak ๐ I'm pretty sure I was born 40 years too late. The woman in my pictures is my Grandmother Leslie. I never got to meet her. She was 100% class!! I am the only granddaughter, so when I turned 13, my Aunt gave me all of my Grandmother's treasures. All fabulous dresses, coats, hats and accessories. I was hooked. I'm always looking for pieces to add to her collection, now mine. So very nice to meet you!!! And yes, people like us are rare!!! Hugs!!

Serious chills---I say the *same* thing about being born too late. (And it's 30 years as well). My daughter's favorite restaurant is MCL w/all the geriatrics...:D Your grandmother was lovely; and it's amazing b/c the photo looks like a sepia photo of someone in today's adult generation.
