garnet29 @jbmomma I’m taking you up on your offer to help! :) Can you tell me the difference between Not for Sale, and Sold? Why would an item be displaying if it’s not for sale? And is there a way I can default my views to only available items without having to filter each time? Thx so much!

jbmomma garnet29 Hi! Glad to help! I think when it says "Not for sale" it can mean that either the seller is on vacation (it will usually say that somewhere on the screen if you get to someone's closet and they are on vacation... And in that case all of their items become temporarily "not for sale"), or I think it can mean that the seller had several of an item, and they are now sold out (not sure on that though).

jbmomma @garnet29 Also, many times sellers will create a fake listing (not really an item for sale)... It's really an advertisement for a sale in their closet, or a sign to say hello, etc... And they just enter the price as "0", so Poshmark posts it as "Not for sale".

jbmomma @garnet29 As far as defaulting your views to only show available items, I'm not sure there's a way to do that. If there is a way, I'm not aware of it. Sorry. :/

theplaidpika @garnet29 Sure...Go to the item and click to bring up the listing you are discounting. Go to the "price drop" button. Click it. You will get two options, edit list price (public) or offer to likers (private). Select offer to likers and you will have to at least drop the price 10% and will have to offer a shipping discount. Decide your sale and hit submit and posh will send your offer.

garnet29 @limewompus Can I ask one more question? I just joined my first party, but I can’t find any way to search, by designer for example. I can only select from the categories shown, and there are thousands of bags to go thru. Since it’s my first party, I wanted to be sure mine made it out there. Is there a search option that I’m missing? It would be a big help in parties like this!

theplaidpika @garnet29 Sorting in parties happens with the filter and sort buttons only, no searches. If you are quick you could sort through the filter "recently shared" right after you share and see if you can see your listing. I have seen mine by just sharing down the feed near the end of a party when sharing slowed down. If you are sharing on the computer (which I suggest) it tells you that the share is successful Hope this is clear and helps, let me know if I need to clarify more.

But I can’t find a “how to” guide so I don’t have to keep bugging you guys. 🤔 For example, how does a seller make a unique offer, like “buy 2 things under $20 and it will be 2/$20”? Or putting items that someone likes into a bundle with a special discount? These kinds of things aren’t addressed in the FAQ’s, at last not that I can find!

jbmomma @garnet29 I think you would need to create a post advertising your sale. You would just start a listing as if you were going to list an item for sale, but instead, in the picture spot, you would create an image that says "sale" in bold letters. For the title, I would say something like "Bundle 2 items under $20, and get both for $20!"

jbmomma @garnet29 Then for the description, I would explain how to go about bundling. I think the way it works is that the customer would need to create a bundle with both items, and once you see the bundle, you will send them an offer for $20. Once they accept, you would receive a shipping label as usual.

And I mean that! 😀 But for future reference, I have found that sometimes just Googling my question, like "how to run a sale on Poshmark" often pulls the answers I'm looking for, whether from a YouTube video for a blog post. Facebook groups for Poshmark sellers are also very helpful. 😊 Good luck! 😃

I try to carry a variety of things, and as many unique items as I can find. I retired recently so I have a lot of good clothes and jewelry that I don’t need any more .. that helps! There are also a few good thrift stores in my area that I’ve been frequenting. A lot of sharing and good timing is what really helps tho. Best of luck with your sales! 👍
