Hi! I'm Shay, a native New Orleanian (NOLA) living in Maryland. Since my days in the 90's, working for theGap, I've been a jean kind of girl. I pretty much have a classic look but I love to mix it up with current silhouettes and patterns (usually whimsical or artsy). My style evolves around denim..... what shirts, outerwear, shoes and accessories work with it. My closet is mostly representative of this. shaynola @taropuff aww... thanks! I focus on a couple of things... good lighting is most important! Your customer can't touch your clothing, so the next best thing is showing details that make them FEEL as if they are touching them. 😜😜 I also try to be consistent. Sometimes a closet or cover shot can be so busy your main item can get lost. Oh, and looking through department store mailers really help with flat lays.

shaynola @taropuff 💋💋💋Btw, do you ever refresh your covers. Switching out your covers shots from time to time usually garners new interest. Also, play around with a photo app called Snapseed. It's the most important tool I have for brightening my pics.

taropuff @shaynola @shaynola Thanks for the suggestion-- I'll try out that app! I wish I had the time to retake some of my photos, but I have a full time job and I've got the two young kids at home. Just listing an item takes sufficient time as it is! That's why I think PM is smart and discourages lower value items with its hefty flat fee on <$15 items. The time spent and $ earned just doesn't make for a good return on investment. (I'm in finance, so always numbers focused!😊)

I'm from the Deep South but have lived on the east coast for 8 years now. I moved up here to be with my husband and his three girls. My son is in the Air Force (he's the one in the blue shirt). And the pic with all the girls are my beautiful sisters and my sweet niece.

shaynola @melsfabfinds Good Morning! It seems they run small. 😩😩 They are gorgeous on, very lightweight. I am a 7.5 and tried them on barefooted. My big toe jammed into the fabric of the shoe. I usually take an 8 in a boot because I wear a thicker sock. I probably should have done that with these. They're a good looking shoe and I still want a pair. I just have to RePosh these first! You wouldn't happen to be a 7 and can use a 7.5? 😉😉😂😂

celestegeorge I had 8 additional sales yesterday with the Posh sale. Been sick for three weeks now. A lot of time to post and share my closet. It has been raining a lot so no photo taking for me until next weekend. Beth came home & helped me clean my personal closet. I now have a lot of my clothes to post. Then Hayley decided to do the same thing. Now I am over whelmed with items to photo. Hope the rain gives me a break on Fri or Sat. 😊😉

I have issues with allergies and it's been unusually warm here so I think pollen season will hit us early. 😩 Awesome sales! I had an unusual bit of luck on Saturday. Listing & research not bad for me. Taking photos is my challenge because of my health & energy levels. Spring & summer is hard due to the heat. I would love to set up a photo corner inside.

celestegeorge @shaynola I agree! Let me know when you hear & I will do the same. I iron everything before photos. Use the ironing boart or my desk to measure. Depends where I end up sitting? Use my daughters room for storage which is where the desk is. She is home from school once every 4-5 weeks. Good thing she does not mind. 😉

I also brighten my pictures and add my signature to some... my trademark. (Haha) I used to share my closet more often but I've been busy with other things. shaynola @hallshangout Sony Nex-5 for model shots with a macro lens attachment for jewelry shots. The camera is good for depth but I swear by using the Snapseed app. I use it to brighten my photos (very important for online selling). I also use it for adding my signature and increasing details. Hope this helps! PS. I work mostly from my iPad.

shaynola @hallshangout yep! I have an attachment that I insert my memory card to upload my pics to my iPad. Then I open Snapseed and choose the pic I want to brighten etc. Save it and then go to your photos to post to Poshmark. Makes a big difference!

It takes time and I don't always get to it especially if it's something I don't sell. I try to go to the parties and share and tag some of the Poshers I know who got Hostess Picks.
