@23shelbster23 You can always use the app to see what other people are asking for an item, as well as used search for what items have sold for. I do that sometimes when I have a new brand that I’m unfamiliar with. And you can always adjust your prices at any time.

So say you have a pair of GAP jeans and aren’t sure what to ask. Search them using the “shop” bar and see what other people are selling them for. Then slide over the filter bar and change the availability from “available” to “sold” and then you can see what they’ve sold for.

@kchamp47 and how doni get the stuff to them if they want it and how do i get the money
23shelbster23
how do i get the stuff to the people

@23shelbster23 Once they pay, the app will have the shipping label ready. You can either download it from the app and they also send you an email.
**You will need to have either boxes from the PO or purchase your own poly mailer bags. I like to order mine from amazon, plus you’ll need tape for the label and some tissue paper if you chose to wrap the item up all fancy before putting it into the the box/mailer.

They money you earn goes into a “holding tank” so to speak, and once they receive it and accept the order it goes into your “redeemable balance”. You can then either transfer it to your bank account or have the app send you a check. You can let the money sit and redeem it after it builds, request it after each sale goes through or let it in the app and make purchases with they money you’ve earned.

@kchamp47 omg thank you so much you are awesome but doesnit cost anything for me when i sell stuff do i have to pay anything to sell stuff

@23shelbster23 Poshmark pays shipping, but they do take a small portion. 2.99 for sales under $15, and 20% for all orders over $15. But before you complete each sale, it will show you how much you will make after thy take their cut.

You should check out the Poshmark guide and the FAQ. They are under the right clickable option that has your Posh name

Something I did as well was join a few Poshmark pages on Facebook. They have quite a few and there are plenty of people asking and answering questions as well as giving out tips for new Poshers.

Sharing items of other Poshers is very important. The more you share, the more others will share back, this giving your
Items more exposure on the site. Also, I would suggest changing your item titles to include the Brand. For example, I have “Lauren Conrad Crocheted maxi dress” then describe it as much as you can in the description. Including measurements if you can!

Follow as many people as you can. More followers means more exposure. Consider joining the Super Posher follow games. You can find them by searching it in “shop”

@kchamp47 so i have to pay to sell oh no i have no money in the forst place thats why im doing it the first place omg i have money to even start
thriftalatte
@23shelbster23 Yes, they take a fee, but they take it directly from the sale, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket up front.
You could try eBay, but you most people like free shipping on eBay and that means the seller is responsible for it.
You could also try consignment stores, but oven never had much luck with them.
23shelbster23
@kchamp47 okay so the money i make from selling the stuff pays for the fees
thriftalatte
@23shelbster23 Correct. You pays no fees until you’ve sold an item and don’t have to have money upfront. If you make a sale for $12, Poshmark would take their portion then put the rest for you.
23shelbster23
@kchamp47 thank you so much
23shelbster23
okay so i dont have to pay poshmark anything at all
thriftalatte
@23shelbster23 You’re welcome. And no, you don’t have to pay. They just take a portion out of each sale
23shelbster23
@kchamp47 i have one more question how do i recieve the money from the buyer
thriftalatte
@23shelbster23 It goes into your balance that you can redeem once they receive and accept. You should definitely go to the FAQ. And the guide is great as if breaks things down for you!
