1sunconure @makeuphoarderxd Hi sadly I lost my Goldie a few years ago. She was my love. Myconure.com I have tried to honor her as best I can. I also have 4 parrotlets. I named my dog Sunny after Goldie. I also have a green cheek conure Happy. Best to you and your flock.

makeuphoarderxd @1sunconure oh how unfortunate! I’ve wanted a green cheek (pinapple) conure but Lola can be very feisty. How is the green cheek’s demeanor? I just got my parrotlet last year but they cannot play together cause the tiny one is very territorial. Plus, one of my dogs (a tiny yorkie) keeps trying to eat them. 😰

1sunconure @makeuphoarderxd my green cheek is not friendly with the parrotlets. He talks some and is on a play gym all day. My parrotlets are pretty good. My blue one is 9 Year’s old and super sweet. I don’t let Sunny near the birds. He is a curious boy. I love my zoo but there will never be another Goldie.

makeuphoarderxd @1sunconure i guess dogs will always want to hunt, especially the male ones. My two female dogs don’t mind the birds much. My Lola is about 15 years old, but I adopted her two years ago from a co worker who couldn’t take care of her anymore. Lola always always tries to go into Cuno’s to eat his food but he attacks her. Do your birds fly around a lot? Lola doesn’t like to fly much and Cuno can’t really fly high.

1sunconure @makeuphoarderxd I let them fly some. My one parrotlet flies and so does the conure. I am careful though. I got the conure when my neighbor found it and gave him to me. He landed on her head at a friends house. I looked for his owner but never found them. So now he has a home with me. No telling how far he flew. My conure Happy has a leash also. If you teach them as early as possible you can take them out on a leash. Birds are fun.
