Hi, I'm Shelly. I have a 7yo who is incredibly smart (& I'm not just saying that b/c I'm his mom) this comes from his teachers. Unfortunately I am no longer able to work with all my medical problems. So, to try and help out with the bills and my son's private school I have decided to try and sell some of my nicer clothes. Unfortunately the bills and our son's School tuition falls to my husband because we are a one-income family. There's talk about having to remove him from his school very soon because the tuition increases every year, that year it went from 7K to 8k this year & who knows what next year will bring. His current school has the Highest rating for test scores, INCREDIBLY small classes, and if you look up the #1 school in Newtown, my son's school it #1! I would truly hate to send him to an alternative elementary school because it is hands down the WORST school in our town (The reviews on their website go from bad to just scary). It's unfortunately the only one he can go to because of where we live in town and it's a public school. Their reputation is horrendous. Their teachers are horrible and hate their jobs, they also just don't care about the kids or making them learn anything. My sister had her daughter in there for a couple years and moved to get her out of the school. But moving to a different school district just is not in the cards for us.
