@shirlg GM! I see your contemplating selling your jewelry, even as scrap, you should price it at 25-30$ a gram. Pawn shops give you 25% less than scrap. To optimize your profits for a fair price.

@shirlg if you have a lot of jewelry it would be worthwhile to order a scale from Amazon for about $10. Or google by what you are selling, check similar products on Amazon or (yes even) Walmart. Just because it's small, doesn't mean it doesn't have weight. A nickel weighs about 5 gms, a dime-3, a penny about 2.

@shirlg NP believe it or not I see people sell their jewelry here for pennies on the dollar, the buyers are vicious and no one needs that drama. They even trick people into lowering their price to get a bigger bundle discount if offered. Stand firm and don't give into sob stories.
