libbychai @batrachel you're lucky - you made sales so quickly ! I started poshing in June and gave up quickly bc I just didnt get the hang of it. I started again seriously in September and didnt get my first sale til NOvember! even now, I have over 300 listings - I made a total of 20 sales since september! lol! But it's fun .I met some aw3esome people here, and it takes me really quickly to cross post to ebay and poshmark at the same time. Then I totally leave it up to HaSHem :)

batrachel @libbychai you are right, everything we do is in Hashem hands.... as far as Poshmark I use the 30 minute method that supposed to work the algorithms of the website. Still I think it’s important to cater to your customers. If Burberry and Zara sells , that’s what I try to stick to. I also think that I have too much variety in my closet, too many categories. I think in Poshmark it’s good to stick to one, like only kids or only pocketbooks or something. Each website is so different.

libbychai @batrachel youre part of the poshmark facebook group???? :). as for sticking to one category, I can't do that -- I sell on consignment so whatever comes my way I list. I'm not sure if I'm allowed ot have several accounts??? I would have different closets for different categories if that were allowed. though it would be a MAJOR pain to delete and relist eveyrthing.

batrachel @libbychai yes I can’t stick to only one category either, but I think it’s better for Poshmark. Just my opinion though! As far as low ballers, I don’t pay much attention, stick to your guns. Can’t wait to see the coat, I’ll share it for you. Just remember it might take a while to sell since it’s January already

batrachel @libbychai this business is very time consuming, generally if I go out shopping for family, I look for things to resell. Mostly I try to look for good sales, and trial and error. Perhaps you need to look how much commission you pay to your clients and items that you take in. I am trying not ti take stuff unless I make at least $10. It’s your time plus storage unit and other expenses. I still have a lot of stuff that makes under $10 that I am trying to get rid of.

You can also give back or donate the stuff that is sitting in your closet for too long, or charge extra fees if the item does not sell in a certain period of time. You are paying storage!!!! So far I have everything in my house, but I am running out of space

libbychai @batrachel youre a smart business lady. I do keep the already-listed things in the house so I dont have to shlep to the unit when it sells. But unlisted inventory i keep in a unit. People in my neighborhood live in small spaces and they like to get rid of their kids' clothing annually, and they end up bringing it to me, and omg my house looks like a warehouse by now. lol.

jferguwat Do not risk ordering from this person. she sent an utterly damaged item and refused to refund. the chest measurement she posted is my size. However, the sweater had been shrunk disproportionately and the armpits were too tiny for an adult (and I have slim arms and Shoulders). other websites will give an automatic refund if you are not satisfied. a better option
