malak68 I wanted to ask if you had someone who could do the interior work on a vintage Gucci that has the inside leather lining that is sticky and needs to be stripped to the back canvas? I used to have someone who could do all sort of leather work, but he may never reopen now. I know you like the interesting quality vintage pieces. I have one that I was thinking you would really like, but I wasn’t planning on listing it until after I got the interior professionally done - which now may never happen...

I can’t think of a specialist off the top of my head but will ask someone that I know who tends to send her bags off for repairs! I wonder if hairspray would work — I know that alleviates pen marks if done gently. How much of the interior is sticky?

malak68 @simonesvintage I know there is a spray on product that allows it to be just clean down to the nice undermaterial. Some of the inside is sticky and some is okay, but of course, you want a bag that has a nice inside. The product tag is good. Anyway, I thought if you had someone, you may like this. It was in perfect condition other than the inside....

malak68 @simonesvintage It is a raisin (they called it plum, but is more raisin) patent leather Gucci rectangular bag, set in single handle same leather & color everywhere, w/covered top that snaps on the inside. The main visual is 4”x5” intertwined GG stitched into the front. If you would like to look at it. I could throw up some pictures. It is a cool bag that needs some work. It was originally quite expensive, but I would post it for general sale.

malak68 @simonesvintage I would just stick up some pics for you, and it you want to give it a try, then just name what you want to pay for it taking everything into consideration and whatever you say, I’ll sell it to you for that. It is authentic and has the potential of being a really nice cool bag - unique color, great style. One of those stand-out pieces. So, if you want a project, I’m happy to take a few pics tomorrow and you can see what you thing.
