chrschrmcrss the safety pins aren't holding the ears together, I tried using the safety pins to help prop up the ears myself. unfortunately that is how they were when I bought it brand new. apparently that's how they were made, with the ears like that. I'm sure there's a way to prop the ears up better than I came up with. I thought it would be of better quality also.
