jlankheim Sonya - I had no idea the shoes weren’t authentic, and feel terrible. I’m happy to refund your money. I’m pretty new to Poshmark so don’t know the process for resolving issues like this. Do you?

jlankheim I’m also curious to know how you know they are not authentic. I bought these shoes a few years ago (2012-2013) at a Nordstrom in San Francisco. Nordstrom is just not a place one expects to or worries about buying counterfeit merchandise! This is the only pair of Manolo Blahniks I’ve ever purchased or owned, so had no benchmark.

jlankheim I have, however, purchased other designer shoes from that same store - i.e. a pair of Dolce & Gabanna Oxfords that I was planning to list. Didn’t occur to me before to authenticate, but now with what’s happened here, I’m concerned.

sonyabwalker @jlankheim The lack of stitching on the insole (where the Manolo label is attached) is the way to tell. I should have noticed it in the photos but didn’t pay attention. There label should be stitched into the insole, but instead there is a razor mark where the insole was cut and the label was glued in. I would attach a photo of the difference, but I’m not sure how to add a photo here.

sonyabwalker I would like to return if you don’t mind. Not sure what the process is—do you know? I’m rather new to Poshmark as well and have only purchased, not sold. And I don’t want you to have a bad rating as you’ve been very understanding. What should I do on my end?

jlankheim Interesting. I will look closely at insole on other higher end shoes before selling, to look for irregularities. Thanks. Again, I’m happy to refund your money, but I can see no way to reverse a sale. Any ideas on how we can do that?

sonyabwalker @jlankheim I sent them a message explaining we had agreed on a return and refund but didn’t know the process, and I asked them to please advise. It may be a day or so before I hear back. I’ll keep in touch. Yes, if all else fails, we can go that route. Thanks so much for your understanding. I appreciate it so much.

jlankheim Okay - let me know what you find out. And you don’t need to return the shoes. I can no longer wear them due to foot problems and I’m obviously not going to resell now that I know they are fake!

Moving forward, if you find an issue with your order, please be sure to open up a formal return case on the order page by clicking "Problems/Order Inquiry." Cases must be opened within 72 hours of the item being delivered to your shipping address and the order must not be marked as received....

sonyabwalker If I open a formal case, I fear that would affect your rating as a seller, which I don’t want to happen. I’m not sure Poshmark can help us because the funds have already been released. Since you don’t want me to return the shoes, could we just do half the cost refund? I mean I did get a cute pair of shoes out of it. Does that sound fair?
