stacyhogeland8 mine is a long story but I'll try to be brief...found out at age 31 that I have Spina bifida, tethered cord, diastomyelia(2spinal cords), meningocele, 3 syrinx's and of course scoliosis. I had an experimental "shortening" surgery last April that helped miraculously! I have rods everywhere but from C7-t-5 and that's the upcoming surgery for rod placement at those levels. It's been awful!!! Do you mind me asking your surgeon's name? Mine is Daniel Harmon at UAB.
