theclotheskall Hi! So I wasn’t home when your return package was scheduled for delivery and for some reason they didn’t drop it off at my door like usual. They leave with the package if I need to pay fees and I’m not there . By any chance did you use the wrong box to ship the item ? That could be the reason why they didn’t leave it at my door.

sshapiro21 @maybel05 Hi, thanks for giving me a heads up, I had no idea what happened. I've only sold a few items on here and they were items that demanded a box due to size. I wanted to get the sweater back to you in the time frame poshmark established. I went to two different post office locations and both were out of packing supplies, the second post office was closing but the worker assured me if I used the express envelope and covered all of the words on the envelope it would ship fine.

sshapiro21 I'm surprised my location allowed it to go through then it was apparently denied on your end. Ive contacted Poshmark to see what to do from here but I haven't heard anything back yet.

theclotheskall @sshapiro21 oh my goodness no wonder! I figured that was the problem. That postal worker didn’t know what they were saying. Posh packages have to be shipped in priority mail boxes only. Anything else will require payment on the buyers end. Posh just recently made a deal with usps to accept flat rates but not every post office is up to date with this so it’s safer to just stick with the original rules. I hope that helps ☺️. Even a plain poly mailer will do just slap the label on there.

sshapiro21 @maybel05 interesting, our locations only have flat rate boxes they don't offer the other boxes🤔I didn't think the flat rate would work because they're "flat rate" I will put it in a regular envelope and ship it back tomorrow, due to MLK it will go out Tuesday. Live & learn, thx for the information.

theclotheskall @sshapiro21 you can actually order post office supplies including priority mail boxes on their website for free! I really recommend that so you don’t have to go out of your way to purchase shipping boxes. And yes, that why some post offices refuse to work with posh packages at all. Even though poshmark sent out an email about it, I’d rather not risk it. Priority mail boxes work just fine.
