ustclair @scontois15 It was in March I believe, I made my very first sale on Poshmark. it was a pair of ICON shoes. They were in perfect condition, I only wore them one time, inside for a party. A woman bought them, waited till the 3rd day and reported a problem. She said she put on the shoes, walked around and they just magically fell apart.

ustclair @scontois15 I told her and Poshmark that her story was unbelievable and not possible, I contacted ICON, had a representative and the owner of ICON tell Poshmark the woman's story was impossible. Poshmark ALLOWED the woman to return the shoes to me. The shoes the woman returned were NOT my shoes. As the ones she returned had a stamp in the inner lining and mine were an older version. ICON insisted that this stamp only came within the last 4 years; mine were much older than that.

ustclair @scontois15 The shoes that were returned, quoted from ICON as they saw the pictures said, " a dog has chewed them." Ever since then I have been so paranoid. Poshmark gave me my money as well, but I insisted it was not the money, it was that they allowed this sort of monkey business on their site. I was going to pull closet, but after that I had a few great transactions, but I just worry. Thank you very, very much for your time, and if I can help you in anyway please just ask.

scontois15 @ustclair are you serious? Did Posh favor her? Did you get the shoes back in terrible condition? Ugh! That sucks. There are terrible people out there, but most people are nice, I promise. Try to not let that one experience scare you from selling on here.

ustclair @scontois15 yes, I have pics of the shoes she sent back to me. They looked gnawed on by an animal. ICON said by their experience it looked like a dog chewing. I was so upset. I wore them once and put them back in their box. To be honest, they were a bit too narrow. I decided to list them, but there was another place that had offered to take them right around the same time. I wish I would have went with them.

scontois15 @ustclair I just had a thought, I’ve seen people say that they video their stuff as they are packaging it for their protection. Maybe do that?!?

ustclair @scontois15 Oh my Gosh! It''s so funny that you said that because after that horrible occurrence I do video. I video the item, me packing the item with the shipping label and me mailing the package all on the same video. I include close ups of seams, hems, tags. I make sure to keep the video going until I drop it in the mail slot. I think a video is the only protection a seller has.
