kari833 Hi! I noticed you commented on a post for a Free People Life of the Party sequin mini dress and mentioned you had a small you wanted to exchange for a medium. I had questions about fit I was hoping you could help with because I can't find any reviews. Would you say the small fits more like a 2-4 or a 4-6? Does the material stretch? I'm trying to figure out what size would fit me because I'm often between sizes and getting a good fit online is so challenging!

alien_canal @kari833 hi! I would say 2-4. There is a bit of stretch but it’s SHORT on me. I’m 5’10” 4-6, and it fits just barely but the Small is pretty risqué for me to wear for upcoming wedding events. Hope this helps!

kari833 @alien_canal Thank you so much! That is super helpful. I'm usually a 6 (which is sometimes a small, sometimes a medium depending on brand), but it depends on the cut and material of the dress. I don't have any Free People clothing and heard the brand runs big, but I find so many labels don't have consistent sizing. I'm 5'5" but have a long torso and was considering the dress for my wedding reception (we had a Covid elopement, and I want to surprise my husband with a new dress at our party).

alien_canal @kari833 awe good luck! If you do opt for the Medium and it’s too big I’ll happily trade for the Small. I haven’t listed the dress yet. I think for 5’5” you may want a small? I am like a size 4 top and size 29 jeans, only thing that’s too small for me with this dress is the length

kari833 @alien_canal Oh that's good to know. I'm 35-28-38 usually so that might work out. Is it more of a shift dress style? I'm probably going to hold off buying anything until it actually looks like we can celebrate (we've thrown so many dates around that I'm not confident anything will actually happen the Covid situation actually gets better), but fingers crossed normalcy and wedding celebrations are finally not that far away anymore!
