susiebellesposh @barbambassador Thank you so much!! I have an Etsy shop opened it in January. Things don’t sell that quickly so I wanted to branch out. Also try my hand with clothing etc. I do have a question tho. How do poshers source their items? Especially the NWT items. Thank you for reaching out. 😊👍👏

barbambassador @susiebellesposh Hi again 😊 Sourcing “new with tags” Depending on where you live, and what stores are available, check the clearance. You have to be careful because prices are so competitive. You can also shop clearance online, find coupons that you can use on top of the clearance prices (online, and in stores) I also source right here on Poshmark sometimes. I started that during the pandemic.

I’m branching out and do clothing, handbags etc, but my passion is vintage porcelain, glass, teapots, and pretty much anything that catches my eye and I think is cool. I understand the shipping label process, but my question is what is the best packaging for single items of clothing? Box? Bag? Where do I get bags? I’ve seen some poshers that sell mailers. shabbyjeans50 @susiebellesposh Hi Sue....Congratulations on your first sale....exciting. You can get FREE Priority mail envelopes, padded envelopes and boxes from the post office. All sizes. I put everything into plastic bags and then inside of the priority mailing items. You can either go to the post office or just order items online from the USPS . com postal website. Just to go 'free priority mail items'.

This tapping each one, going to their page, tap follow, then go back is very time consuming.

susiebellesposh @shabbyjeans50 Aww 🥰 Thank you! It is a lot of work! It takes so much longer to list an item on Etsy, but it’s worth it! I totally love going out and sourcing my things. My husband and I are learning so much, while having fun and spending time together. It’s a win win! For right now mostly all the items I’m putting on Poshmark are things we’ve purged from our own closet. I’ve only sourced a handful of things. Thanks for all the info you’ve given me. I really appreciate the help.

susiebellesposh @barbambassador Hi Barb! How are you? Good I hope. Hope you’re making sales! I’ve made 3 so far. So that’s good 😊 I have a shipping question. I want to add items that will be over 5lbs. Does Poshmark pay the cost up to 5lbs and I pay the overage or does the buyer? I’m not sure I understand how it works. The same item on Etsy will shop for $22 which includes my handling fee. Let me know what you think please.

barbambassador @susiebellesposh Hi Suzie 😊 it’s nice to hear from you again 🌺 The buyer pays $7.67 for up to 5 lbs. That shipping cost is automatically added on to the final purchase price. You have to be careful when selling, because anything over 5 pounds, the seller is responsible for. On bundle purchases, it is so important to weigh all items in the bundle before making, or accepting an offer. You can then make or accept an offer accordingly…

barbambassador @susiebellesposh Example - If you sell a bundle for $40, it weighs 7 pounds. You would receive $32 (after PM fee of 20%) minus the cost of the extra 2 pounds, (The shipping rates are listed in the Poshmark app) Poshmark is only allowed to charge the buyer $7.67 shipping. Sometimes it is worth breaking the bundle into multiple bundles. For instance, it’s cheaper to ship 2 5lb bundles, then it is to ship one 10lb bundle 🤷🏻‍♀️ Congratulations on your 🛍 Sales are steady. Nothing big, but doing OK 😉

susiebellesposh @barbambassador I’m doing ok. Good days, bad days. Pain really never goes away 😢 Anyway, I just listed a large Japanese plate. I’m listing it for $325.00. I upped the price because of the PM fee 😬 It weights 4.5lbs Ok, so for example, the buyer pays the $7.67. I tap to request a new label, I weigh the item with all the packaging and say it’s 7lbs now. It says an extra $9.00. Do I pay that, or does the buyer? Either way should I factor in the extra money into the price?

barbambassador @susiebellesposh Because it is one item that is overweight, you would need to figure that into the price you list it for. Bundling is different, when bundling you can let the buyer know about the extra shipping because there are multiple items.

barbambassador @susiebellesposh I’m so sorry about your pain 🥲 Something I struggle with also. 25+ surgeries to date, + all the other challenges we struggle with each day. It won’t always be like this 😉 I find much comfort in Gods promises for the future 🌷 Rev. 21:4 says there will be no more pain, mourning, death… (physical and emotional pain) Then Isaiah 65:17 says they won’t even be brought to mind 😊 not enough space to quote them completely 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope you get many sales 🛍 and have a lovely week 🌹🌹
