Hi! I'm Susan. Some of my favorite brands are Talbots, Chico's and Quacker Factory. Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me a comment so that I can check out your closet too. :) So I’m just getting started on Poshmark today (6/4/2023); I have literally TONS of Quacker Factory blingy shirts (mostly 2X) to post once I figure this all out. 😁 I also have Talbot’s sweaters (mostly 3X cardigans), pants, jeans, dresses & suits, lots of Christopher Banks cardigan sweaters & tanks (2X), some Lane Bryant stuff, DG2 jeans (that’s Diane Gilman), & over 50 (yes, 50) Cacique cotton boost plunge bras (size 44B). This will take a while, so if anything is of interest, just drop me a note! (I will update this intro once I get my closet good up and running…)

sparklechick1 @jhcortez thanks. This may be a stupid question, but where do you get the bags to ship clothing in? I receive clothes from stores and Etsy in these bags all the time, but I’ve never seen the bags themselves for sale anywhere. They are tough (don’t rip), seem to self-seal, are very thin (not bubble packs), come in different sizes, patterns (can be decorative, like holiday themed)—but don’t seem to be sold by the post office. Do they have a special name I should search under? Thanks 4 your help!

sparklechick1 @aj_by_the_bay well, thank you, I appreciate it! I’m still trying to figure out a lot of how Poshmark works, but I’m getting it a little at a time. Like the sharing thing—no idea. (I’m not a social media person, so a lot of this is a foreign language to me.) I tried to share a listing of someone’s with someone else, & ended up having to cut & paste the link! aj_by_the_bay @sparklechick1 Yes it can all be a bit overwhelming but you’re right to give yourself time because you will pick it up. Sharing your listing and those of others is important because it helps give your closet exposure. There are many ways to share listings and entire closets both inside and outside PM, but here are a couple you should know just to begin.

aj_by_the_bay To share an individual listing (yours or someone else’s) within Poshmark, on the listing you will see 3 pictures, a heart (like button), a bag with a plus sign (add to bundle) and two arrows going in a circle. This last one is the share button. Click on that and you can choose to share to your followers or directly to another Poshmarker.

aj_by_the_bay @sparklechick1 The other main share you should know is bulk sharing your closet listings within Poshmark. In the upper right hand corner of your closet there are two tools forming an X (next to the bag). This is your toolbox. Click on that. You will see “Share to followers”.

aj_by_the_bay @sparklechick1 Click on that to share one or all listings in your closet to your followers. You should share all your listings at minimum once a day. In the toolbox you will find other sharing tools including the bulk tool to share to Posh Parties. It appears only when a party is active.

If you read my bio on my home page or whatever it’s called, you’ll know I have lost a lot of weight and am looking to replace a closet full of clothes (both work and play) so I prefer to bundle whenever I can. Once I find one thing, I always look for more things from a seller. I’m happy I was able to find several items that work for me in your closet! I’m heading for bed now, but will start shopping again tomorrow 😁😁😁

sparklechick1 @aj_by_the_bay actually, I’m curious why you should share with your followers every day? What would that do? I’ll take another look at your bathing suits, but I usually have crap luck with bathing suits in general, trying on 15 to find 1 that sort of fits. I’ve only had success with 1 brand off the internet so far, Swimsuits for all, & even with those I have to wear swim shorts ON TOP of the one piece, because suits that fit my upper body hang loose where they shouldn’t. Ongoing battle.

aj_by_the_bay @sparklechick1 No pressure with the swim suits (I was joking 🙂). Sharing is for visibility. Sharing puts your listing in their feeds in chronological order. So sharing multiple times of the day helps keep your listing closer to the top. People are shopping throughout the day so you want to share at different times to catch them. The hope is that followers will see something, buy or like it and/or share it to their followers (which also helps attract new followers).

aj_by_the_bay @sparklechick1 If you share to 100 people and let’s say 20 of them share it to their 100 followers, and so on… you can see how your visibility multiples quickly. Then if you do it multiple times a day, exposure is even greater. And you want to be sharing to Posh Parties because it’s like free advertisement. The idea is to get your name and your items out there in the hopes that the community makes it “viral” in a way.

aj_by_the_bay @sparklechick1 Also sharing is a requirement for Posh Ambassador status and it is believed that Poshmark uses sharing in their algorithms for things like choosing listings to feature and search results etc.
