Good morning T, I see you opened a claim and I sent a note saying I will take them back for the only valid reason which is the smoke smell. I apologize for that and didn't smell it myself due to a bad sinus infection. I traveled for 2 yrs and stored boxes at my Dad's, who happens to be a smoker. I had the clothes dry cleaned but of course didn't think about the shoes.

As far as a tarnished tiny buckle that could've been cleaned. As far as the size and nit fitting you I based my post on my experience with these shoes. I'm a size 8 and they ran small for my foot. I'd recommend asking seller to measure for you in the future since all brands run differently. Regardless the smoke smell was unexpectedly and that's a good enough reason on its own.
