@hockeymom20 thank you. My hair dresser is fabulous. I go in every 5 weeks to change colors. We have fun picking new colors and trying different combos. I pretty much let her do whatever, lol. It makes for a lot of fun when people do a double take, lol. I get a lot of comments along the lines of how they wished they could do that. I say enjoy life and go for it, lol.

@dianesteinberg you go for it. After loosing my dad in an auto accident I fell in a deep depression. That year was rough on me but I learned some things, the most important being life is too short to be unhappy. My hair colors make me happy. I smile when friends want to know what color I have now, lol. I enjoy the comments, especially when the dmv asked what color to put on my license and my reply was I think it was originally brown but I have not seen that color in years, lol.

@kdtj91 I totally agree with you. Our son, the child I never worried about committed suicide a little over 9 years ago. He was very successful - with school, career, and suicide. This involved a woman who "used him" until her boyfriend got out of jail. At 29 years old he never met people like that - Besides being team leader at a large software company, he was going to school at night for an MBA - He lives in our hearts, but it took me awhile to have fun again in my life - and I do!

@kdtj91 We are entitled to have fun - our loved ones would have wanted that - forgot to mention - I sent a counter offer with the best I can do, but whatever you end up doing is fine - I don't "sweat the small stuff" - also, chocolate helps! I need some every day!

@dianesteinberg I am so very sorry for your loss. We never know what life will bring. If it is within our power to bring happiness and joy then we need to do that. Hon I say take yourself to the hair dresser and have them add some beautiful highlights, I started with a little around my face. You deserve smiles and joy in your life.

@spookyheartsg I have been good friends with my hair dresser for years. I have seen her since she first got her license, oh no I am going to say how old we are, lol. It has been at least 30 years now. She loaned me the hoop skirt for my wedding, I remember her wedding and when she had her girls, the youngest just graduate high school this last year, lol. Her oldest daughter works in the Er of the hospital I usually go to and she has taken care of me a couple times now, makes me feel old, lol.

She charges me her going rate, to do the temporary colors which we usually do 3, with tip $35.00. When we do a full highlight about every 3-4 months plus the colors I pay with tip $65.00. That is good for our area but not unheard of. We live in the middle of no where, really do, lol. Very rural area. I grew up on the lakes, ice skating on frozen lakes and ponds, riding snow mobiles. Driving boats, 3 wheelers, dirt bikes.

Got older and my first vehicle was a rough pick up truck, no power nothing, lol. No power brakes, steering, windows, locks. 5 speed on the floor, no air and really no heat, 4 wheel drive, jacked up, so much fun to drive, lol. We have 9 acres of woodland as our back yard, across the street is acres of land as far as you can see that is farm land, corn and beans.

My husband’s family land has farm ground along with the business and a nice 1 1/2 acres pond. We have deer and fox, coyote, raccoon, possums, and minx in our yard sale all the time. Our land is not hunted but most other wooded land around us is. I come from families of hunters, grew up on deer meat, wild turkey at thanksgiving (yum). I never liked squirrel or rabbit but always had that in the freezer. We had a lot of fresh fish from the local lakes and ponds (now that is the best, lol).

I shoot, love to target shoot, hate to hunt though, I prefer to watch nature not kill it. My family however stock the freezers with hunted meat, only way my brother had meat for his 5 kids when they were still all home. That is how most in our area feed their family. Farmers in our area plant fields and some have cattle, pigs, chickens and sheep, most common.

We have a large garden, apple trees which I will be picking tomorrow and juicing, makes the best juice, the way God intended, nothing added but maybe a bug or two, lol. We have a cherry tree and a large grape arbor, just finished off what I had left of the grapes. We do not spray, that stuff is so nasty and I don’t want it on my food. We are what most would call red necks, lol. Only I have all my teeth and am educated, lol.

The second pic is of our dogs. The black dog is a Lhasa Apsp her name is Daphne. The white dog is a fat Pomerania and his name is Gizmo. The multi color odd looking dog is a mix of what we are not sure, lol. We are guessing some beagle, bird dog maybe, blue tick healer maybe. Hubby says her momma got around, lol. Her name is Mandy.

@spookyheartsg of course he asked you to pay it. He needs to learn to man up to the consequences of his actions. You did not get arrested, he did, you are not responsible for what he is doing, he is. Time for him to grow up, man up and do the right thing. You need to stop taking his calls girlfriend. Let him fix the mess he made of things on his own. He is the one who left you to live the crazy life he made. Time for him to deal with it like a man.

@spookyheartsg life is too short. Anything can happen at any time. Crap I was fine then out of the blue I have a heart problem. No warning, my body is not getting oxygenated blood, my heart is not working correctly. Now I am on oxygen, have had heart surgery and been hospitalized with heart failure. Things can change so fast and I have learned that we have to look for the rainbows. We have to make the laughter and smiles and be happy.

@kdtj91 he asked me to pay 805 bail so he can show up to court I said no. I don't get that money back. He said court was 20th I said no not on Sunday and. Then he said 30th I said no u been out since 20th so court is 30 days he has 90 day probation so he will have to do it he owes it either 500 cash or 900 cad has to be paid

@spookyheartsg stress must go away and be replaced with happiness. Life is too short and we must make it a happy one. I want to get off this roller coaster of a life and say I enjoyed the ride. I want to be remembered for putting smiles on faces and laughter in hearts. My heart can blow a gasket anytime but I am still here and I want to enjoy the here. You also need to find your happy.

Stress is not good on a person. Find your smile, you are still here and there is happiness to be had, grab at it. Release what is not allowing your happiness from your life and grab the happiness that is there for you. Dump the negative and go for the positive. It is waiting for you, you just have to do the hard part first. You deserve happiness, we all do.
