luvcouturestyle I went to the Post Office and apparently it was stuck in the box, however they did find it. (Will never drop things off again). brkhse576 @9saratogasal this is a very nice bag I can definitely say that! I wouldn’t say you went through hoops for me. I just felt like it took you awhile to acknowledge me as a customer. However once you got together with Lisa & it got shipped the process was then smooth. I didn’t make any negative comments about you. You got your money & that’s all that should matter. One star is better than none?

makinufab @brkhse576 Hi 👋 So yes I would just for peace of mind. My husband’s grandparents ran an antique store and they had one similar to it that they were selling for about $600 10 years ago. Now..I don’t know shit about antiques so I could be talking out the side of my neck but don’t risk it. The stitching looks machine woven so maybe it’s not too old but did you google it at all? I just don’t want to see you step over something that might do better on a different platform.

makinufab @brkhse576 listen I have had to bust my ass on here and loose quite a bit of money until I found my way around. Two things that I do religiously… photo before buy..Google but not chrome.. use the one that has the G it searches more refined than chrome. Find the manufacturer or retailer first if you can. Get its original retail price. If it is not available that way then go to a major retailer and see that asking price. Use that as your base.

makinufab If you can find it anywhere than you can just go on instinct because no one knows your target market like you do. You have a beautiful closet with excellent pieces that are very competitive just be careful not to undercut yourself. My rule of thumb is that if I can’t potentially double what I pay, then I put it down, do some more wandering around then come back to it again we average what 4-6 hrs a week sourcing..that’s labor, then home to clean it up and prepare for sale, another 1-2 hrs.

makinufab So far that’s 11 hrs of labor on one or two items unless they are pristine..so that’s about $110 in labor you owe yourself and it’s really gonna sell for say.. $65. You have to make up that amount to yourself some how or you’ve lost money on it. I do comfortable easy wearing items @$3/$25 to make up the difference. It’s just the way I see this whole side hustle thing it has to be worth it or I’ll just give it all up. I love thrift store shopping so this is my way of justifying it! 🤪🤣🤭

It’s hard being a thrifter because you find something , you know it’s beautiful and has potential to sell, and your psyche tells you that it’s not going to be there later because it’s one one and someone else is going to snatch it up so you had better get it. I hate shopping but OMG do I love to thrift So, this is what worked for me..I set a budget for $25 over what I sell for the week because of course you want to keep your closet fresh.

makinufab @brkhse576 also I go to my closet and instead, I make new descriptions, I take new pictures of if I have time and for the next week I share my collection items 3 times a day. Or I choose shoes in the a.m. jeans in the noon time and then something else like accessories at night around 8 pm. It helps circulate your items, they get shared by others more often and it gets your closet visited more often. Do you have social media accounts? I can help you bring new customers to Poshmark if you do.
