fashnminx I lived in Portland and that was where I was planning to settle down. My dad became ill and I am his caregiver in Florida. Don't let anyone drag you to Florida. I miss the Pacific NW so much. Is your kitty Denali as in the Alaskan state park? I spent some time there bumming around Alaska. We did not meet any lovely kitties but did run into some wolves! Kumbaya 😮

I almost moved to Florida 6 years ago...I liked the idea of living near Disney World, but got married and moved to Seattle instead. We actually wanted to live in Portland, but we had to follow the job. Great to "meet" you!

cadizneygal @fashnminx Wow! That is a long drive with a cat! Twice a year I take Denali down to Seattle for a vet exam for his allergies and he cries all the way until I let him out of the carrier. Then he curls up in the passenger seat and sleeps. Glad to hear you got safely back home!

As for the eclipse...I will probably watch it via others photos and videos, etc. I didn't plan for it so I will just watch my cats as I work from home to see if they start acting any differently. My sister is very lucky as she lives in KY where they will have a total eclipse! Will you be able to see anything from your area there? Please give some extra pets from me to Olivia!

fashnminx Hi Tanis. Yes Olivia is a small kitty. I worked for a rescue group called Cat Bugs The director foundOlivia starving in s parking lot. She did not think she would live. First I fosters her then I adopted her bi have had her almost three years. She is 9.5 pounds she does not gain weight. Her vet calls her a “catten”. Between. Cat and kitten.

cadizneygal @fashnminx So typical of cats! We have all these fun “birds” on a stick and they rather play with shoestrings! As long as it is dry outside we keep them entertained by taking them outside on leashes to explore. Not sure what we’ll do once the rains starts again...Ella gets extremely restless and howls throughout the house wanting to chase things she sees outside the window. How’s the weather were you are? We are currently in the low 40’s. Brrr! Please give some extra love to Olivia from me!
